Dont think so. The problem with these games is that a majority does not infact like it. It is a pain to make and integrate and it will cost them extra money and time. These types of things are perfectly fine as mods, and if people really enjoy it pay the mod developers and encourage them to make more mods like these, and better coded mods

I do think that was the correct play, because those camera angles, while charming, can be janky in many situations. I'm glad we still have the option to play RE2R with fixed angles using the mod, though.

Yes and no. The modder did a great job. But if the game was build for this, then the backgrounds would have been more detailed to make fixed camera better. Like how in Re1 they got a room that strats starring at the playable character.

There's something so menacing about not being able to turn in exactly the way you want or be able to easily pan and scan a whole room for threats. You can get caught on a corner or fail to find an exit from the room and get swarmed.

Yep! One of the many reasons the fixed camera worked so well. I loved when you could hear the sound of the zombies in a room, but the camera would only ever cut when you got quite close to where they were. Masterfully made games.

Aside from a few small issues with the tank controls (especially when running, almost got bit like 4 times in a row cos of it haha) this mod is fantastic. The modding community for re2r continues to amaze me. Interested in trying it combined with the randomizer. Ps such a cool addition to add the shining items!

Control issues aside....there is something to be said for fixed camera; it gives the game devs more control over your experience, makes it more filmic. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing is ultimately up to personal taste. Bawk is absolutely right about this mod being profitable DLC. I mean hell, the OG soundtrack was five bucks on REmake....I bought it. Have a polished fixed camera version....charge 10, even 15 bucks for it? Take my money.

Bnus information: laid on sofa and i heard voice ask me, you know whats law of the oak tree, and said, when you cut a tree, plant another one, i had an idea like plant an appletree then let it grow for a bit and then on all 4 sides or more berry bushes under it, can also maybe plant mushrooms underneath the bushes and herbs, seen someone plant mushrooms

Capcom is really leaving money on the table imo. If they remade the outbreak games, classic tank controls, quick multiplayer or singleplayer stories, they'd make money from it. Although maybe that's just my nostalgia for classic RE. I love the new RE canon and think the remakes +7 and 8 are great, but I think there's a market for classic RE style games still

It’s crazy seeing Bawk play a weird version of Tank Controls. Because he basically lives off speedrunning the original RE games, his movement there looks too natural. Because this is both a new experience and a mod, it’s funny seeing him lose some of that control.

please dont go off on me or be mad lmao but just pointing this out, could Capcom have made something like this ? sure they have the resourcess, like they did with the 3rd person with Village BUT you gotta see it from their side , not that i agree with it, again their side if pouring a lot of time and resources in balancing damage aiming, even boss mechanics play testing and more to a point they feel is somehing worth of releasing alonside the normal version, and as cool as it would be for fans, from their point if the time and resources poured doesn't equal more sales or if they feel their sale pretty much the same amount without the extra investement they wouldn't do it, or maybe it just wasnt part of the original vision and that's it, also they most likely like any company that develops software let alone games, they surely have most everything planout from the get go from start to end , with some minor stuff changes along the way, to then move along to the next project and leave behind only if necesary a smaller team working on fixes or updates post -last DLC or big update or whatever

I know im commenting on this late but i literally cant play this game any other way now The purest in me wont let me, its the best mod for re2 imo for a classic fan and i’d love to see resi 3 remake get the same treatment (even if the game is ass) If you wanna enhance your playthrough of it even more there’s a mod that brings back ink ribbons for all difficulties and adjusts that balancing to make it more faithful to the original game (including removed hip pouches and certain ammo drops for the ink ribbons, and more health for Leon and Claire The one thing i dont like about the balancing is the fact the bosses die way too easily but im pretty sure its customizable and im probably just stupid I havent really tested it on anything other than standard so yeah) I’d also recommend any mod that brings back the proper classic looks for all the characters in the game All these mods can be found on Nexus mods btw

i love fixed cameras in games. but objectively speaking for RE4R, it simply wouldn't work. it is just too much of an action game, with most mechanics being centered around 3rd and 1st person views, it would be FRUSTRATING to play it like that.
