43:43 - what I find interesting with this one zombie is that it is probably the only scene where we can see a zombie still performing some human-related action and simply being occupied with that. Every other zombie is either standing/walking around, lying on the ground or eating someone's ass, but this one is still determined to get that vending machine working. :)

Man, this version of Claire is so good. The character model, the voice acting, the writing - really love that! The first two RE games got me really scared/hooked as a kid, and when this second remake came out I kinda couldn't believe how good it was! In retrospect I feel Mr X is kinda tedious but for the most part what a lovely, perfect remake this is tbh. Been watching through this playlist the last couple of days being home with my son sick and I've come to love these Story/Reviews you did! Thanks a lot for the great content!

The RE3 Remake is also inconsistent with the RPD Demo in another way. Nemesis saying "STARS" here makes no sense because this takes place after he already mutated into his weird dog form and he never spoke in that form.

The content you have put out lately has been incredible, I have loved watching the stream and watching all these videos. I know you have said that you didn't want to spam your youtube with all the playthroughs, but I think this (and RE2 Original) are perfect examples of uploading both playthroughs. Your thoughts on the endings and showing the differences in the B scenarios is worth having both up. I can't speak for everyone, but I would certainly love to watch the Lean 2nd run and Leon B scenarios here.

Do you agree that it is best to start with Claire for the sake of the way the story flows? Most people start with Leon, and I think it is doing them a disservice if it is their first time playing. There are a few reasons for this, but the glaring one is how Sherry gets introduced to the player. It seems so tacked-on if you run Leon first and then you see her at the very end of the game with no explanation, vs the much more interesting way that Claire encounters her. Not to mention, the game is scarier when the protagonist is a civilian woman with a 5 shot revolver rather than a trained law-enforcement officer with a 9mm and body armor. The first run should put the horror in survival-horror as much as possible.

Yeah.. you also didnt spend thousands of dollars on a machine that should run it flawlessly.. I can see how that's frustrating. I'm not a "graphics guy" either. I don't care if its photo realistic. I don't need 120 fps.. if it looks cool and runs smooth.. that's enough. However, if the performance is distracting. It's a problem.. games used to look crappy is irrelevant. If you bought an expensive car and the engine was always having problems and sputtering out, would you be angry? Or would that be fine because we use to use horse and buggy? Also, back in the day, when we played those simple graphics games.. that's a retrospective characterization. We didn't consider them basic at the time, it was cutting edge technology.. Look at OG RE, the graphics look like melted barbie dolls made out of geometry, at least NOW. At the time.. those graphics blew me away. What is this, the space age? Fully 3d environments? Its witchcraft.

1070 Ti, 9700 k, besides one or two settings at medium I play at 1440p, usually 50 fps minimum with a gsync monitor in this game. Besides cheesing birkin with the infinite knife, having 100+ fps doesn't matter. (I can get up to 250 at lowest settings last time I checked. Knife is so OP.)

Something I found interesting with the safes is the fact you can turn it left then right then left or you can turn it right left then right. You can also turn it to the numbers like 9 then 15 then 7 or you can turn it the number of ticks of those numbers so turn it 9 ticks or notches either left or right then turn it 15 ticks in the opposite direction and then turn it 7 ticks in the same direction as the first number. All 4 ways will open the safe.

I think they deliberately ignored the good will, for strategic reasons. Think about.. RE2R was amazing. This ensured that everyone and their momma was gonna buy RE3R. So.. they make the game with a quarter of the budget that 2 had, much cheaper, and knowing everybody will buy it off faith. And they make a HUGE profit margin. Ok... but every one is mad about the drop off in quality between 2 and 3? All that good will, they threw it away, right? Seems dumb? Its genius.. evil, but genius. Fact of the matter is, the next remake in line was RESIDENT EVIL 4... Who needs good will? Its freaking RE4! Hype is through the roof. 3 could have literally been a gif of a middle finger, expanding to an open palm, and slapping your Grandma.. it literally doesn't matter. EVERYONE is buying an RE4 remake. So, my conspiracy theory is that they PURPOSELY made 1/4 of a game, sold it at full price. Made a huge profit, knowing that people might be mad.. But not mad enough to skip a RE4R! Kinda brilliant, if money is more important than ethics. Luckily they knew 4 HAD to actually be good, or their remake payday was over. Although now that they are back on a high, I wouldn't be surprised to see the next game made cheap as possible again..

Lucky me, 2 and 4 have always been my favorites, and they are both incredibly remade! TBH though, I also really like RE3 remake.. it's not a bad game, its good! It's a SHORT game.. They basically made like 1/4 of a game, using a small budget. But high sales from us expecting another RE2, means they got PAID. But, I still really like the game. Its just pretty obvious they reused as much from 2 and possible. And everything else is just these like very very loosely connected little pockets of gameplay. Like, there will be an area. Some hallways, some circling around. You run around there for a bit doing things and then.. A tunnel or long walkway or something, it leads you to another little area. Same deal. Its basically just 5 little mini areas, stapled together with tunnel, and an RPD thrown in.. Still fun? Yeah! Definitely. Just.. could have been longer, and had more depth.

Have you played 5 recently? It looks like it came out last year..ish. still, it's so recent still. No way they waste time remaking it.. Only way I see that, is if they REALLY REREmake it. Like.. do the whole game over. Itd would be a different game, reimagining 5. That'd be cool.. sound far fetched? Idk man. After RE7 and 8 kinda setting up this new mythos. Then all the remakes doing a retelling of all the lore. Especially 4. It changed some of the cannon from the OG, and it seems to be in service of something new happening that wasnt part of the original stories. So.. a brand new 5, with new story. We could bridge the mythos gap between 1-4 and 7 and 8 perfectly! Mesh the lores together. Plus, in a retelling, Wesker could survive?? Hes the best villian.. he needs a new story with chris or leon. Killing him is like killing the Joker.. ok, cool for a sec, but now the best bad guy is gone and that sucks.. EDIt,: PLUS.. that would mean they also redo 6 as a new game, and it can finally fit into the franchise. Instead of being this weird arcade fever dream hodge podge of every character

But some of the windows in a police department, especially in a repurposed building that old, would be using super-thick glass, and it would probably be impossible to hear rain through those particular windows. That is very strange you get such bad performance in the RPD station main hall. I use a Ryzen 5900X + RTX 3080 and get 200 FPS average with absolute max settings 1440p, and 105 fps average at 4K in the same room.

Not going to lie, it was like forever ago when I played a Resident Evil game until just last year. When I started playing this game I just got right back into Resident Evil. Then RE3R came out, played that then I was like I might as well play 4 as well(which I never played until last year). Yeah I so far skipped 5 & 6, maybe down the road I'll get to those, then I played 7(happened to be available on Xbox Game Pass at the time I think). I've just recently played even 1-3 Silent Hill recently because of RE2R. It was crazy how this game was sort of just the start for me to get back into Resident Evil. The last time I played was when original RE1, RE2, and RE3 were still the new games. Like I rented RE3 when it came out, never finished, so I feel like should finally finish the originals. 2020 the year I decided to get obsessed with Resident Evil games. Plan on going through 0 and Veronica X eventually too.

Ya know one of my favorite parts? The remakes are so good. I love em all. I even prefer them over the original these days.. BUT, the originals are still so good and they are so different in design and tone and they way they feel to play.. That its not even a case of one replacing the other. They are both worth playing. After I beat RE4 remake, i immediately played OG 4. It didnt feel like playing the game twice at all.. Both worth playing. Different experience and different game feel. So.. if you love RE, we basically get all our favorite games, TWICE.. Pretty sweet.

I never had a problem on Max Settings on a 1060 6GB, i5-7600k, aparat from lowering Volumetrics since they really down the framerate in the RPD. It was at 70 FPS most of the time, never in a single instance going below 60. When i say Max, i mean no VRAM cache that goes beyond 6GB VRAM. Since they don't affect texture resolution at all on 1080p.

It seemed like a missed opportunity to have the Bow Gun as an unlockable weapon. It makes sense from a design perspective to not have it be a base game weapon, because it didn't really have a niche in the ecosystem, but it would have been a lot more fun than the Inf. Stars handgun.

This and RE3 Remake can run maxed out at 1080p90 with a Nitro+ RX590 8GB OC (1700MHz) and a 5GHz 8700K. (Which is my old rig). AMD's Polaris, VEGA and Navi/2 GPU's run 20% faster than nVIDIA's equivalent in the RE Engine.

RE3 is a great game.. that's not the issue. The issue is that its 1/4th of a game, but sold at 60$. They totally did it on purpose too.. make a really GREAT RE2. This makes a huge number of people guarenteed to buy RE3, so you make that game as CHEAP as possible. Sell it for 60. Huge number of people buy it on faith, and they just made a HUGE profit. Are people mad? Yeah. Is the good will gone? Definitely. But... who cares! Good will is unnecessary.. The next remake is RE4!! You couldn't stop people from rushing to buy it. Luckily for us, they had to make 4 actually good, or it would ruin their remake payday.. Although, now that 4 was a masterpiece.. all that faith and good will is restored.. I'd be careful with the next remake.. they just might do it again. 4 was so freaking good. Whatevers next will sell, so.. maybe they make half a game and let hype drive sales before its realized all over again.

4:05:20 my opinion about the B scenario debacle... game-wasnt-going-to-have-b-scenario-myASS! it was one of the big reasons why RE2 OG was so great and well known. its the same if someone wants to sell me a car and i ask "why does this car only have 2 tire instead of the original 4?" and they just say "oh... it also drives just fine with only 2". i just cant bring myself to WHY they did that!!! (still a great remake. with the "Zapping system" it would be a 10/10 rank. but now its just a 8/10) the same with RE3remake! WHY cutting 70% game/content/story? :,(

Why? Greed. It cost them WAY less to make RE3 than it did to make RE2. But we were all excited to rush out and buy it up at 60 bucks. They made out like a bandit... Did people get upset? Bawk went from LOVING RE3R and even saying its more fun than RE2R but once the consensus was “RE3R is trash” by most folks, it’s almost like Bawk hopped on that wagon. Which is weird cuz I don’t think he’s that type of person to do that. Bawk, I listen to you. I know u don’t hate RE3 but u did love it. All the issues bawk had with performance baffles me. When RE2R first came out i played it on a 2080ti 10700K system and at 1440p i never dropped beloew 120fps. On my current system with a 4090, 7800x3d cpu, at 1440p both RE2R and RE3R im well over 300fps.

FWI to anyone that hasn't played RE-REVERSE yet, don't... absolute hot garbage. It baffles the mind how Capcom keep slapping these awful multilayer aspects to the series( that just don't work) and clearly hsve about 10 seconds of thought go into them... the only Online RE that's truly worked and in my opinion a masterpiece for its time, was Outbreak. It wasnt an artistic choice to have basic "graphics" in pong... that was the technology limit at the time. It's like saying, "well the first 'vehicles' were actually pulled by horses, so it was never really about speed".. Naw, that's just as fast as they could go.

@@karenamyx2205 Cars and horses are a bad example, those are utilities. Games are entertainment and the only thing games require as a form of entertainment, is enjoyable gameplay loop. Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, the entire indie scene. It was never about the graphics.

The sewers with the cable car are underneath the station. The lab entrance is quite a distance at the bottom of the track but nonetheless, the lab is next to the Marshall Yard

As to different characters, it only changes the brief 10 minutes you play as a sub character and whether you go through the gun shop or around the back. Thet only real difference between the games is the lack of mercenary mode in re3. They both are short af, both leave out stuff from the original, and both are halfassed

RE2 remake cut a very short section from RE2 original while expanding on the sewers to make up for it. RE3 remake cut practically 2/3 of the RE3 original and did nothing to compensate except making the hospital section a little longer. It’s not the same thing.

I still think RE2R is something that could have been a lot better. I kind of wish it was just Claire A and Leon B to truly make them different. I kind of get Annette here. She's trying to understand her husband's mutations and stop him, perhaps the only one who can to her. But doing so she is ignoring the suffering of her daughter.

Mate the reason why you have 60 fps is because your rendering scale is at 200% which is pointless... I have i7-9700k+ rtx 2080 and with maxed graphics with 100% rendering on ultrawide resolution I play with 100-120 fps. BTW I love these videos

There is no way you drop below 60 FPS on 1080p, with your hardware. Something is set wrong.

He said he had everything on max so I'm thinking he maybe had resolution scaling turned up too perhaps. He had a bit of fuzz on edges and light reflections that shouldn't really be there if he had Anti-aliasing on high as well, definitely something weird.
