Xisuma, if you are having intermittent issues with your pc and you have a 13th or 14th generation intel cpu, it is likely damaged. There was an issue with the microcode that caused those cpus to erroneously request too much voltage. It was only discovered this year. This damaged the cpus over time, leading to instability. Pushing new microcode to the cpus is accomplished by updating the bios of your motherboard. However, if your cpu is currently unstable, it is damaged, and that won't fix it, but will prevent further degradation. You can contact intel for a warranty replacement cpu.

yes the hearts stay active even if the logs are removed, they will deactivate when nighttime ends though so it is still a good way to turn the farm on and off so you don't have a bunch of creakings spawning when you don't use the farm but are in the area.

32:20 X you placed that last heart wrong so you're short a creaking. They won't spawn a creaking if the ends aren't touching a similarly oriented log. You can actually build the summoning pillar sideways if you want, and any pale oak works stripped or not, log or wood doesn't matter as long as it's oriented correctly, which might be hard to tell on wood due to it not having the texture that the heart connects to despite working, but as long as you make sure to aim at the creaking heart when you place it you're good.

@xisumavoid HI Xisumavoid! Anyway, yeah. Good you noticed. Did you know you could place the whole pillar sideways? I was wondering that through the whole snapshot time so it was one of the first things I tested and it worked. Makes setting up this type of prank safer since creaking can't spawn in two tall spaces. Your resin farm might be more efficient if you fully conceal the heart. A 3×3 cube of logs with the heart in the middle and a hollow cut corner 5×5 cube around that would give you 108 resin from one heart, and that's if you don't collect it as you spread. Of course for ease of collection you'd need to only have it on the sides but that's still 72 resin from one heart, and again that's if you're not collecting it as it spreads! Here's the log layout in black, it's three tall and the heart it in the center, orange is where the resin accumulates, as well as on top if you don't put blocks there: ⬜⬜⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟧🟧🟧⬜⬜ ⬛🟧⬛⬛⬛🟧⬛ ⬛🟧⬛🟥⬛🟧⬛ ⬛🟧⬛⬛⬛🟧⬛ ⬜⬜🟧🟧🟧⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ You also only need to add two layers to add another heart to it and the center slice is potentially tileable.

@xisumavoid Can you ask the marketplace team if they can make a more mob heads add-on? I'm surprised there isn't one yet. I mean Tinker's Construct does add a few more mob head drops but: it's not all of them, they don't stack because they're technically helmets, and you need a cleaver to get the added ones. And considering the Battle Mutants Add-on adds head drops that are placable, and in the future wearable, for all the mutants it shouldn't be too hard for you guys to add more head drops. You might even be able to make them realistically shaped? Might need to make the player's head invisible for some of them though. Unless you want an endermite head as a nose.

X, I don't know if you tried this, but you can trigger the pistons in your farm with a calibrated sculk sensor. The resin appearing triggers "block placed," signal strength 13, so you can use that to detect the resin and push it off. At least in my own farm, it seems like it really simplifies the redstone. I've got a video on it coming soon, but I'm sure you don't need me to show you how to do it :P

Yeah a LOT of the Pale Garden biomes are strangely tiny... I think its intentional cause they didn't change it during the months of developement, but its kinda lame. I get they're supposed to be like tiny dying sections of the Dark Forest biome, but its a little ridiculous.

I assume the creaking heads not dropping isn't due to age, but it might have to do with damage taken? Like, not being hit before despawning results in the game not counting it as "being killed"? Not sure though

The size of most of the Pale Gardens I've seen is pitiful. Plenty of posts on Reddit show folks travel for >2k blocks for ONE tree. They also seem to be so incredibly rare, most seeds will have very few if any within reasonable distance.

It's cool to see the differences. Both use a unified system for creaking and resin collection, but Doc's uses a square feed tape instead of just a single shifting wall. Also Doc's has the user target a continually re-dispensed minecart instead of an armor stand, as that doesn't use up the sword's durability (this farm yielding no mending XP).
