Dave, I'm glad to see you introduce the lunge that you demonstrate here. While, you can go up and down in place with a band, this exercise is superior. I've been doing it for a long time and I much prefer it. For the benefit of anyone reading the comments, the lunge we're talking about engages the calf, the quads from around the knees into the groin muscle, the hamstrings and the glutes. Since you're using that much muscle, you can go heavy with it, and, if you take it to failure, you'll find that it is the glute that actually fails, and when it does, it will be red hot. This exercise is great for the knees. Sometime, you might consider taking a side trip into discussing the kind of strength that bands develop. Everyone wants to talk muscle building, but these bands will make you physically stronger. The strength effects won't be the same in all respects as what you get from lifting dead weight, but, what I've found is that the strength that you get from the bands is more springy and "alive". They'll make you feel more athletic overall. Nice workout, nice presentation, nice attention to the fine points.

I have never seen squats done like that. It works phenomenal! I use the band barrier on my arms to keep friction limited. Thanks for the great idea! Love learning new ideas.

This info is great! I have 3 wall mounted anchors and I love using the ankle straps bt you've shown me a few new moves. I used to lay down for kick backs but this way also works. And placing the straps under the feet is key! Thanks!

Tbh, I find loop bands are much better for legs than tubes. Clench Fitness has videos that will held you get an amazing leg pump. It would be great if you did another leg video with the loops.

I don’t typically focus on high volume leg workouts, but I concur that loop-style bands are superior for leg exercises, at least in my view. Nonetheless, the video is excellent. Great job, Dave! Eagerly anticipating your upcoming videos

Although I like bands a lot legs are the exception for myself and instead I do "pendulum sissy squats" as seen by alex leonidas using a daisy chain, dip belt, and door anchor.

tube bands are definitely not worth it for building legs. I tried it last year, and my legs look the same( i have no idea why). I feel loop bands are better specially when it comes to legs. but still, i think it is not possible to get the legs you have just with bands. Legs are hard to grow. You need to squat really heavy.

It’s actually possible I’ve done it, but it’s tough. I prefer lifting weights but it is possible, I used loop bands though, heavy duty loop bands and I always doubled them and did a lot of time under tension
