Wasnt that a grey Jeep with big tires? I have seen that on YT and saw that person was already doing a good job there... This Porsche build is really nicely done. I hope its tuned accordingly. A true perfectionist always sees room for improvement. The thing to learn is to be satisfied though. Which isnt easy. I know so. A percent or two under the 100% is close to perfection, and should also bring a lot of joy! Btw the scale of % is different for a perfectionist. I love the Mundorfs, I am listening to AMTs and Ribbons for over a decade now. Great install! 👍

Excellent video. What is your general opinion about cutting car for ib midbass if car resale value is not a concern(keeping the car forever)? Or should I look for alternative install option like enclosures in kicks or in the doors?

@@ResoNixSoundSolutions I mean, yeah it'll take a resale hit, but not like $10k or anything. Private sale you're looking at needing to price $3-$4K under comps; it's not a collector car for a discerning market, just a mass produced SUV. Trade-in value at a dealership might as well make no difference at all. They wouldn't even know with the install Carson would do, not to mention he already cut up his hatch for the IB sub... End of the day, not nearly enough of a hit to say the value is "flushed down the drain." These things sell with salvage titles for $20k all day.

@@ZZPxFTW I disagree. Anyone looking to buy a car like this is NOT going to want one that was molested to the point where there were giant holes cut in the fire wall. They'd just move on and buy a different one. I guess it's not just even a question of how much value it takes off, but also finding a buyer who is even okay with that to begin with without defrauding them and hiding the fact that the car is compromised.

@@ResoNixSoundSolutions I definitely see where you’re coming from. “this type of car” is just another $30k family car. It’s nice, but the potential market is still just “$30K luxury SUV’s.” This market is not one of people being mega particular and looking for a value holding, collector cars. It’s people looking for a “balling on a budget” daily driver. If there’s speakers in the holes, and transparency given to the potential buyer, someone would find value in a getting this vehicle for under market value with the upgraded audio system, which at the end of the day is what it is. My experience working at a car dealership for 5 years is where this notion comes from, but I’m also wrong frequently..

​@ResoNixSoundSolutions I respectfully disagree Nick, take for example my Acura Rl that I'm building. The very first thing I did when I decided I was going to cut the car for IB midbass was buy a new carpet. The reason being was this car was pretty immaculate one owner vehicle with 70k on it so I wanted to keep it nice. If I ever sale it I will weld the holes up throw the new carpet in and no one will know it was ever cut. So proper planning and it's not a huge deal. Cutting the spare tire well out is a different story it's a bit more aggressive that's why I'm just enlarging the trunk vent in passenger rear and going true IB venting there just like the kicks no one will ever know.
