En réponse a votre question si j'avais des projets en cours, il y en a mais avec une récidive de cancer, tout est a l'arrêt. intervention chirurgicale ce vendredi. I really love your channel! You show so much care and reverence for these antiques so they can live on for many years to come. I appreciate the way you film your restorations, and the techniques you share - I would never see such a piece of furniture in my country so I am thankful that you take the time to share your restorations (and your very cute "foreman" in the shop - I'm sure he keeps you on track! 😄) I am curious though about the pictures from the old bible you pasted onto the door - was this for tradition (superstition?) or just decoration? Anyway - thank you again for sharing your artistry with us💓

I am very happy that you are watching my channel. The Bible pages were often glued to the cupboards for religious reasons. The people in Bavaria at that time were extremely godly

Thank you for the nice comment and your interest. People in Bavaria used to be very god-fearing. They often had Bible pages taped in their closets. I replaced the old broken pages with pages from an old Bible from that time

Very thoughtful restoration. Is the wood fir (Douglas fir)? I am restoring a box my great-grandmother brought from Ireland to Australia in 1875 and the wood looks similar. Cheers

thank you very much for watching the video. The wood is spruce. But seeing fir and pine is quite similar to the wood of spruce. I'm not sure if the wood names are translated correctly

I love that you restored this using materials true to the time the piece was originally crafted. You are truly preserving history. I am curious why you pasted the book pages to the inside of the door. Was this a tradition at the time this piece was made?

In the 19th century, people in Bavaria were very religious.People would often stick Bible pages in their furniture to pray in front of. In the film you can see that such Bible pages were placed inside the cabinet.

Horrified was the facial expression I got when I saw you cutting off the pages of an old book. Judging by the letter typeface and the engraving, probably from the late 16th or early 17th century. Please tell me I am wrong, or maybe you just used a modern reproduction of a centuries-old book. Your work is as always excellent, but his time it had left me with a very unsavory taste. Still, the restoration is well done.

Of course, the Bible is original. 17th century is also true. But don't be alarmed, because the Bible is only a fragment and therefore worthless. However, we can use it very well for our restorations. Thanks for your comment
