When it comes to the restoration of not only these toys but about anything that people can or will restore. I think there are two completely different ideas. The first is the group who say do nothing. Leave it exactly as you find it. The second say restore it to original or better than original condition. I myself go for group two. I see what it can be and a future of continued use and enjoyment. I dont think there is anything wrong with either idea. I really just happy that not everyone thinks exactly the same way. How boring that would be. I do my own restorations with different objects including toys, cars and furniture. Its a process I enjoy and love to see how things turn out. You do amazing work, keep doing what you do. Much respect.

The “original” was a work of art. So much work went into creating the detail on that patina, dirt and rust. The original was far superior to the restoration craft-wise.

Pity that the "corrosion holes" were made by grinding from the inside as can be seen on the driver's side door at 1:28. Nice job of painting the outside to look like rust even though the material that the body is made from is not ferrous :D

It is made that way either because of people who like the restoration process of those things or because of people who like them looking that way,as you can see in the comment section.

First time, in all restoration videos watched, the original model was better than the final result.

It's because it was an art sculpture in pristine condition rather than the typical damaged toys, so it's not actually a restoration. It's a bit like if you had a painting and scrubbed the canvas clean, so you've restored a canvas, not the painting.

Someone made a diorama with that as the holes were drilled out and made to look like it had rusted away. You have taken away all the work someone had done.

It's his model. If he wants to put it back to original, as new, condition, that's up to him. Personally, I would far rather see a model in fine condition than one that looks like it's ready for the rubbish bin.

The original screamed out for a post apocalyptic diorama. It was perfect for it. Shame to have wasted it really. The renovated job could have been any one of several off the shelf, out of the box kits .

@@PaulFellows3430Paul, it was a pristine sculpture. Just because the art work wasn't to your taste, doesn't mean it isn't art. That would be like wanting a painting scrubbed from a canvas because you don't like the painting. It doesn't mean the painting was never art, just that it's not your preferred style. If you're building a post apocalyptic diorama (really common way for filming backgrounds in films), the original is exactly what you'd be looking for.

Or it's originally part of a diorama. They're quite often used for filming backgrounds scenes cheaply, especially in themes like post-apocalyps where making full scale cars look rusted and abandoned would be really expensive

So did you originally create the model with the post apocalypse art look then decide to put it back to its original state so you could sell it or use it for another project, or did you buy it as an art piece, and wanted to see if it was possible to see if you could erase the customisation as a test or project for yourself? Personally I like both how it would've looked pristine, and the post apocalypse art sculpture it was before, but it does sadden me to see the work of the artist being erased because it was clearly part of an interesting project at one point.

Bom adoro antiguidades,brinquedos e acessórios carros e etc... Mas quando euvejo uma pessoa desmatamento um carrinho antigo parecendo tão fácil eu acho falso . Porque ate então as peças estão fundida . Esse vídeo mostra falta de selo para retirá-las um pouco de fake?
