You can take pics as you take it apart and just follow that in reverse to put it back together. That's what I did when I did a lot of work to my CZ75 Omega. There's also plenty of written guides on how to do it and probably several video guides online to follow if you get stuck. Plus once you work on guns for long enough, you start to learn how things work and can usually figure out what goes where with a little trial and error.

Hey I just wanted to say, you did a decent job with this, even if your methods aren't exactly "gentle". What you have is a 1992 CZ-75 "Pre-B" model, which differs from the modern version in a few ways, and parts (especially magazines) may not be interchangeable. If you haven't already, I STRONGLY recommend replacing the recoil spring (underneath the barrel) before ever firing this firearm, otherwise you risk bodily harm as well as damage to the pistol. I have to ask, did you fish this thing out of a river? Source for my info: I own a 1987 example of this pistol.

Nice restoration 👌 what was the reason to not full dissasembly the trigger ? (the triggerspring is a little bit difficult to reassembly, but with patience it works) where is the magasin pressure plate ? (place just before hammer spring). You did not reassamby it ?
@rusticrestorationsyt2 жыл бұрын
I did not fully disassemble the trigger because the pin that holds it in needs to be pressed in instead of just pushing it back in so I figured it would be easier to just leave it together. The magazine guide plate broke as I was cleaning it and I could not find a replacement for it online. I should be fine without it as it just protects the hammer spring while sliding the magazine in so I just have to be careful with that.

Nice job. If you use something hard and flat to back your sandpaper, it will help your finished surface look more flat once you paint it. Oh and never allow the hammer to drop on a gun without the slide or upper part on. Beautiful job!! Of the three, 9mm pistols I carried during my law enforcement career, a CZ-75, Sig P-226 and H&K P7M13, I far and away preferred the CZ.

Beyond satisfying. I never considered using JB weld to clean like he did. This guy is an artist Nice job.

He used the JB weld to fill in pits and deep scratches on the gun, then sanded it all flush. Pretty smart idea, I think!

CZ75’s are really nice. May I ask, how come you didn’t use any cleaners or solvent’s?

I would have soaked that thing in marvel mystery oil or vinegar for a couple of days before I started using a wire brush on it.

Amazing job. I own an FIE TZ-75 that was modeled after the CZ. Very good weapon. I actually own the set. The full size and the compact. FIE was bought out by I believe Witness Firearms. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that.
