How does the dpad compare to the wired one for fighting games? I have the wired one and while not terrible, it's pretty stiff. Doesn't have much of a pivot to it

I'm so glad you brought up the analog stick range issue with that first wired piece of shit within the first minute, it let me know you're being honest. Most people just suck the wired StrikerDC's dick all day but conveniently leave out how shitty the triggers and stick are, so thank you for your authenticity despite being sent a review controller. I'm actually excited to get one of these now, I was apprehensive beforehand. The VASTLY improved ergonomics compared to the first party DC controller [SEGA what happened you were THIS close to greatness with the Saturn 3D pad] were my main draw, but having the rumble built-in improves the value by a ton- the first party Puru-Puru pack is stupidly pricey for a motor in a plastic shell.

Well I still have a guilty love of the wired Striker triggers I just wish they had good ranges 😅 I will reiterate that I think this is a controller all DC fans will love!

You mention early on in this video the wired version's compatibility issues-- what about the issue where playing a windows game with it can wipe the vmu? I've had it happen, and it's a known problem with third party controllers from even back in the Dreamcast's heyday. Does this wireless one has solve this specific issue? That's the only thing keeping me from giving it a try, since I don't want a repeat from the wired one. If you'd like to do a serious test to find out, try it with resident evil 2, over several saves and sessions. Sometimes when you go to load the save, you'll find that the vmu's been wiped. Not guaranteed, but not predictable, but very common with third party controllers for some reason. I'd very much like to see that issue dived into with this controller.

Strikerdc is almost perfect, but now got issue with non orginal VMUs. Hopefuly Retrofighters promised firmware to fix it soon.

@@hkil to be honest that incompatibility is quite strange cause wired striker works with all vmus perfectly and whole 🍁 protocol is vastly documented
