Damn I remember the days of lugging around a Gaming Tower PC in the 1990's and 2000's that could easily weight over 15lbs, produce a bunch of noise and heat, and contained a cumbersome of wires, technology really has advanced.

I picked one of these up a few weeks back and loaded Bazzite on it for some couch gaming with my Steam account. I am blown away at what the Ryzen 7840HS can do. It runs so well I bought another and just last night replaced my aging desktop as well. I feel like I used a cheat code finding a machine with such great specs for so little. My only complaint so far is also the location of the USB ports, but I can live with it. Now I need to mount it.

Ft. Liquordale huh!? I’m from Miami. Great to see another Floridian KZbinr haha I currently have original consoles and have a retroid pocket 3 plus that I use as my on the go. But I also us it as an all in one emulation console cuz of the HDMI out. And my all the games are upscale. It’s a great little device. Also my Amazon fire stick outside by my pool is soft modded with retroarch. Ima have retro gaming everywhere up in this bitch. Fridge. Toaster. Microwave. The madafacking toilet. U name it.

Hey Chase... another great review! Can you do a video sometime on what game pads and controllers you use? Different consoles have different game pad layouts and not all are a 'one fits all' solution... so just curious if you have one particular that you prefer or have dedicated controllers. I never saw a video on this topic.
@OfficialChaseBrogan22 күн бұрын
Hey there so I use gamesir controllers typically which are great controllers but doesn't give an authentic feel to the more retro games. Thats the real struggle with emulation....finding controllers that give us an authentic experience. Hyperkin has some good products out there that have retro vibes but a lot of times they're altered still.

Hi Chase. Thank you for the video. I am interested in buying a minipc for a retro gaming build . Would you go with this one or the Gmk nuk that you reviewed about a month ago?

I'm looking into getting a competent gaming mini PC that can handle 7th gen and Switch emulation, with all the hardware pre-installed along with AMD drivers. I had a MSI Mini PC with Intel for a little while and it's sadly given me a lot of problems, like performance issues, overclocking and constant crashing with some software. I couldn't even setup Batocera on there without almost instant crashes on launch.

Cool? Is this you trying to invite people over to be your friend? I'm not sure why all this was shared.

@@AlexGamingConsole No. Absolutely not! I just want a mini PC that's actually good, complete, and isn't going to break down that easily.

@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 Unlike the other person that's just insulting and rude and offered nothing of importance or helpful, I would suggest Minisforum or Beelink (Many reviews of them on this channel), they have a lot of build variations to fit different price points and really great quality. I have a Minisforum UM690S Venus. Mine has a Ryzen 6900HX CPU, 680 integrated graphics, 32GB RAM, and a 1 TB NvME. I got it on Amazon for $350 (After a $170 off coupon). Haven't played much on it, but I have played quite a few Switch games, most run well, and I played some XBox360 games, they also played well, some had a bit of lag, but I think that was more controller lag than the game. Hope it helps.

Whattup Chase. Still lovin' your channel brudda. Question: Do you pull your games to test with locally from an SSD, HDD USB 4 or USB 3.2 or over a network via a NAS? What speed is your NIC if you are pulling up AAA Ttiles via NAS to test with?

Nice review! You could always get a USB-C Adaptor for the front to make it USB 3. Annoying, but an easy/cheap fix.

@AlexGamingConsole24 күн бұрын
You do know the number after USB means the speed right? Why would you want to make a USB 4 into a USB 3. I really don't think you know what you're talking about. I feel in your head you think these numbers mean the type of function they perform.4 will do the same as 3 but better. If you're just talking about have a type c plus which idk why you would want that. It's just a adaptor. It's not converting shit besides the actual type of port

@@ismaelcruzvalencia8988I can't stand people like that. I'm new to emulation as well. But one thing that you can do is go into your bios on the computer and reallocate the ram. Sometimes by default, computer ram is not set up to benefit gaming. You have to tweak it a little bit. Search on KZbin for opening the bios and setting the ram
