bad omen is not the only effect that acts the way it does, hero of the village also doesn't effect the player, but effects villagers around you

Actually it affects the player, its fame especially, depending of how you treat the villagers (trading, killing or saving them in this case) they may hate you or love you, it affects your status for the villagers not how the villagers offer their trades, but for some reason it also affects wandering traders and since they're not being attacked by an enemy because they don't have a home is strange that they also give discounts
@bellslimes12 күн бұрын
@euaqui4437 Perhaps the Wandering Trader caught wind of our resume in saving villages from the illagers (that we started but nvm that) and wanted to express their gratitude for saving the others of its kind? Perhaps the Breeze is an artificial mob used to train soldiers to fight Blazes? There's many obvious similarities between the two, from their body shape to their use of projectiles. Since the Breeze uses wind charges instead of fire charges, they would be safer to train against, allowing soldiers to improve their skills until they need to fight the real deal. The Breeze is also somewhat visually similar to Vexes, possibly implying that they are created in a similar way

And the true danger of the Breeze, fall damage, would be relatively easy to negate using potions of slow falling, which are brewed with phantom membranes. The spawner doesn't spin faster when players approach, it just doesn't spin at all unless the player is in range. The reason it sometimes spins faster and slower is based on how far through the spawn cycle it is, if it just spawned it spins slower and speeds up til it spawns again. Also, trial spawners don't wait til the first wave is killed before spawning another wave, they wait til a single mob is killed, which then makes it so there is room in their mob cap. Regular spawners actually function that way, they just have a much longer cooldown and higher amount of mobs they are allowed to spawn.

There's GOT to be more to this. The heavy core being found there, the tridents being there aside from only being obtained from the drowned, and the extreme likenesses of breezes and blazes. Could this be and enderman-like theory? Like these were training grounds could have also been training grounds for fighting blazes. Breezes move quickly, are tanky, but do low damage, which would be an ideal test fight mob. Plus the fact that there's nowhere else where breezes can be found. And the mace. Why is such a powerful weapon hidden inside the vaults? Could it have been farmed for Warden defense? But if so, who put heavy cores in vaults? I think this is what makes Minecraft lore so fascinating. So many dead ends, so many false lights at the end of the tunnel, it just never ends. Minecraft is truly and endless game. Because of their unique ability to destroy blocks by shooting long range fireballs, I believe they were artificially constructed mobs used as remote mining machines for the ancient builders, as a way of mass gathering resources to facilitate all their construction projects in the overworld. Then, once the ancient builders discovered the nether and turned their focus away from the overworld, they took the ghasts with them to serve the same purpose of mining resources to use for construction projects there. Over time, as more and more ancient builders were wiped out by the zombie plague, the ghasts slowly became redundant and eventually were trapped in the nether for good once the last of the builders vanished. This doesn't explain their behaviour in full e.g. why they exclusively fire at players in game, but I still think it leaves a good answer to the advancement of bringing one back to the overworld.

Potential the breeze could be a mob designed to act as a simpler version of the wither? One that could train soldiers in the necessary skills to fight it while not being too powerful that it’d be able to cause as much destruction, merely flicking things about instead of exploding them?

i fully belive we have gotten something wrong about minecrafts lore. the Ancient Builders built the wither and it did lead to their end, but why would they build it? because it was their attempt to take over to only thing they had yet to conquer LIFE ITSELF. i fully belive the AB didnt have the ability to respawn like the player, and they wanted change that. they used to power of the souls of their own fallen commarades to experiment, to see if there was a way to turn a power that they too barely understood into something that they could use to be immortal. and they kind of did it, the wither came, destroied stuff, but humanity was able to defeat it. the Withering effect tho had a devastating effect on them. it made them technicaly immortal, but mindless, zombies and skeleton are the result. it mutated spiders and plants giving birth to creepers. THATS why humanity retreated into the Anciet Cities. therye where away, from the monsters, safe in their underground bases... until they werent anymore... mobs started to come down, the cities became more and more unsave, and humanity decided to tr one last time. they would once agian use the powers they had, the power of fire, and of the souls. a massive sacrifice resulted in the creation of the Warden and the skulk, a beast that can easily destroy any hostile mobs, the skulk was just Overworld equivalent of soul sand, a secondary product of they creation basicaly. this also explains why all the flames in the Acient Cities are blue, its the immense power of the souls lingering in the air that litteraly atteched itself to the fire. they tried to live with the Warden, adapeting the city to it, but once the skulk began to spread, the infustructure to break down, and warden attacks to frequent humans fled once more, into the last bastions of humanity, the strongholds... or atleast that my theory :3

The player is the last ancient builder left. And the skeletons clearly aren't old zombies, seeing as they always use bows and arrows and know how to extract the discs from creepers via pressure points, I assume. Something truly sinister is going on with that. Not to mention, they would all have turned into skeletons by now if they just decayed. Something tells me that creepers aren't natural either. Literally nothing else in Minecraft specifically targets the player by Literally blowing itself up. It's clearly a mass produced and weaponized golem. Perhaps the reason why the skeletons know how to hit them to eject the disc is because they were once part of the nation(s) that was responsible for the creation of the creeper. It would make sense that they were put under a magical curse as well, and always used archery as they're fighting style.

The breeze might've been used to represent the wither
@darianleyer577712 күн бұрын
Yes, but the Wither is an Undead, while the Breeze - like the Blaze - is an Elemental. I posit that before the Plague spread to the Overworld, the Trial Chambers were used to prepare for survival in the Nether. This also explains the non-Undead mobs in the Chambers. For example, Slimes could have been a stand-in for Magma Cubes.
@hcorp381912 күн бұрын
@@darianleyer5777 the trial chambers were probably constructed after the ancient builders traveled to the Nether, as breezes seem artificial as they only spawn in an artificial structure, so materials like blaze rods would probably be needed to make breezes

bad omen is not the only status effect in the game that only affects how other mobs see the affected creature, hero of the village does that too
@xemiii12 күн бұрын
That one has a bit of a different vibe than bad omen. It's clearly the villagers recognizing that you helped them and rewarding you, and I don't believe it affects anything else in the game. That's much more explainable and less supernatural than bad omen causing mobs/structures to inexplicably act different towards the player. I do believe you're on the right track of bad omen not being alone in changing your surroundings over yourself; isn't that how luck and bad luck work? I don't know if those are even accessible in creative (let alone survival), but they work really similarly to bad omen.
@lbgamer616612 күн бұрын
Hero of the Village doesn't affect the way mobs see you, it is caused by the way mobs see you. It's not a real status effect, but a gameplay feature.
@blanekaboom12 күн бұрын
@@lbgamer6166 In the game, it acts as a status effect and that is why I mentioned it. A villager giving you low trades does not give you the effect, getting the effect makes them get low trades. You get low trades trading with a villager from a different village when you have the effect
@blanekaboom12 күн бұрын
@@xemiii I was going to bring up luck, but it is unimplemented, and the name of it implies it might just make you more lucky instead of changing the world around you. Hero of the village is less supernatural but the way it is implemented is as a status effect that causes villagers to give you lower prices, even ones that did not see you save a group of villagers, hero of the village is not restricted to only the village that you saved. I reacted to a specific line saying that everything else changes something about the person with the effect, which this does not.

i think the bad omen is a soul, just like vexes or allays, but a different one. maybe it can call other souls, that then power ominous trials; it’s definitely used as a marker, or a tracker, by illagers. i think vaults work analogously to spawners, but spawn items instead of creatures.
@RogerMollet12 күн бұрын
Perhaps the heavy core is a cube of an alloy, this alloy could also be used in the ominous and trial vaults.

I hold the belief that the ancient cities and their inhabitants existed before the skulk ever did, there were ancient builders that existed in multiple biomes and the ancient cities are examples of adaptations of the ancient builders. I believe the skulk came about after the ancient cities were established at least, and the evidence of living we see in game there now is that of the Illagers as we agree that they seem to have explored the ancient cities in order to obtain knowledge
@level1dodo89611 күн бұрын
The skulk seems to be a side effect of the soul energy experimentation, most likely a mushroom base medium due to all the mushrooms and their effects in game

I haven't finished watching yet but once you've begun describing ominous bottles I'm guessing that you will talk about how this connects to your previous theory about experience and soul energy, with ominous vaults acting as a way to collect soul energy from mobs killed in the trials, possibly to be used by villagers.

if beds in trial chambers are used as respawn points, then how could there be a plague that kills all the ancient builders? If they're just as immortal or revivable(yes, i know that's not a real word), then would they not wake up back at their beds just like we do? I see a logical gap in the zombie plague theory + respawn point beds, therefore either the zombie plague is false, or the beds in trial chambers aren't used as respawn points....

The one issue with Bad Omen’s interactions is that it only triggers a raid when a player afflicted by it enter a village. If it were a distress signal that would trigger upon drinking, then it would cause a raid to the player’s location. I feel like the weakest link this time is surrounding bad omen.
@theminerboy569412 күн бұрын
It seems to be less of a distress signal and more of a "draw aggro spell". It causes the trial spawners to become more aggressive towards the player, and it allows the illagers to target an enemy location.
@tinaherr385612 күн бұрын
I believe that the video is implicating that (lore-wise) an illager could theoretically use it for themselves. That is to say, in-universe, Bad Omen isn't exclusive only to the player. At least that is the theory of this video
@thetruetrident12 күн бұрын
@@tinaherr3856 What if the previous race that ruled the overworld used bad omen in an ancient city and that was the original cause of the sculk?
@tinaherr385612 күн бұрын
@thetruetrident interesting idea, but we don't really have any evidence of that, since skulk doesn't seem to interact with Bad Omen in the game. At least, so far.
@danielloewen285710 күн бұрын
@@thetruetridentnah that makes too little sense. In the deep dive about the warden I think he covers how the whole city seems designed to farm wardens so the skulk has to have been there before they built it

Yet another interesting episode RGN. Not sure if you've thought of this as it may be too obvious. The captains banner, ominous potion bottle and ancient city all share the same basic dark colour scheme. I theorise that not only are they linked, it's possible that they will affect or activate what is obviously a portal at the centre of the ancient city. This portal could be the "escape" used by the ancient/original builders. Only future discoveries (updates) will show the validity of my idea. Keep up the great content ❤️

This is a very good and thought-provoking theory

Though I really don't like the addition of "trials" or these very gameplay dungeon-y rooms, you've done a great job as always somehow finding the connections to tie them into at least a little more in what 'Minecraft' is. I do wonder what your take on the pale garden will be, considering it's the most "modded minecraft" update i've seen yet, only adding the tree version of the weeping angels, white wood ina grey biome and disgustingly orange 'resin' materials. If there are two minerals that desperately need more 'Minecraft'yness to them it's Copper and Amethyst. I wish that they'd at least have something like i dunno, Amethyst being used as a binding upgrade to tools, extending their durability and doubling the strength of enchantments through some kind of resonance. Copper too only serves as a deco block, with even it's redstone uses neutered before we recieved them proper and the tools it does create could may as well have been given to gold, or iron.
@brevortofficial12 күн бұрын
@@Spritus3241 Yeah the pale garden was a Weird update. most of the time they add a new feature it adds a lot of depth to it but it felt really superficial this time. hope they rethink their approach to new features in the near future.
@EmperorPenguin121712 күн бұрын
I have no idea if it would work or not but I was thinking that amethyst could be involved in a transmutation system, that would somehow allow you to change biomes into other ones. If not that then maybe lapis or echo shards.
