The Pre-Runner needs slightly larger tires. No lift, just tires that better fill the wheel wells and flares. I like the idea. Always have. The locker is probably good to 40 mph, but I bet you can be in any gear since it’s 2wd. Make that works in the dirt because it’s never gonna be a rock crawler.

I spent the last 10 years driving a 2wd Sonoma with a factory rear locker. When it was minus 45 degrees Celsius and snowing it would start right up and when I was driving 100 KPH (the speed limit) to work the guys driving 4x4s were too afraid to go over 80 KPH. If they combined the Prerunner and the Sport with an extended cab, long box, 2wd with a locker, manual transmission, and installed a stroker kit on the old 6 cylinder engine to create a naturally aspirated performance engine, with the option to put TRD Pro suspension seats in it then that would be my perfect truck.

Here in Utah somehow Toyota dealership clear their stocks within msrp or no markup than big 3 where stocks piled up only reason ridiculous unnecessary mark-ups. Recently check in ford and Toyota dealership surprised to see f150 base 2wd no addon nothing basic level variant marked the heck lot upp compared to fully loaded with 2"lift kit and offroad wheels retrofitted new Tundra

It’s literally kept most of the personal style from the last gen. It’s an evolutionary design. You people will complain about anything. If Toyota kept the v6 you would complain. They have a more powerful engine you still complain. Y’all complained that the last gen was too old so they give you a modern new gen and you still complain. Complain complain complain!!

Look in the comments of the new Tacoma videos, and I’m not the only one who think so! And I love the 4Runner now and I’m worried they’re going to change it too! Because everyone’s mad they won’t change it which is ridiculous not everything has to be modernized why fix something that ain’t broke? People buy hundreds of thousands of 4Runners every year regardless of the way it looks! Even though everyone says they should change them they’re still buying them like hotcakes! And I have nothing wrong with their engines. Remember which brand is one of the most reliable… Toyota! Haha I ain’t complaining!
