Blood work shows my potassium and sodium levels are within range, but my BP is in 150s and 160s.

Hi Dr, Meat, fish, chicken have high saturated fat. Dr Neal Barnard, Joel Fuhrman said they cause clogged arteries, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases. Each doctor said different things, whom should I believe? Some say vegan is good, some say meat is good. Confusion. Please clarify for us. Thank you Dr.

Hi Thu, good question. I agree that if you ask 4 experts you'll get 5 different answers about what to do. It can definitely get confusing! Some farmed meats and chicken can be relatively high in saturated fat, whereas wild meats and fish are lower in saturated fat and have higher amounts of omega-3. Personally I enjoy fish and lean cuts of meat along with plenty of fruits and vegetables. Vegan can be an extreme way of life for many people!
