This was excellent. I’ve been using the bands in hacks and leg press which is great getting out of the bottom. Great stuff Hunt

Great video, and a great idea with tips on tuesdays. Im always looking to learn!.. I found it a bit shame about the volume of the background music, being too high. I have a hard time hearing what you are saying. I subbed, looking forward to the next video!

Great video, and love to see that you are making content again. Question for you, how do you figure out to take off 10-15% of the weight? For example, if I am squatting 300 pounds, how do I figure out the band setup to take off 30ish pounds of weight? Is it just a guesstimate?

Great video! For some of us smarter people I’m sure we can figure out how you setup the daisy chain as in loop it and swoop it but the beginners or people without common sense might need more guidance on that step just so they don’t hurt themselves. Can’t wait to see the new video this Tuesday! Can you talk about range of motion when it comes to people with different limb lengths? I’m 6’4 and when I do any bar benching I stop when my elbows are slightly below 90° but the bar is still about 2-2.5 inches off my chest because my arms are so long. Am I making excuses or should I force my limbs to chicken wing it and go full range of motion and pinch other muscles in my back that I’m not trying to activate and lose the tension on my chest? Thanks in advance!

Excellent vid Hunter! Can you do a video on how you set up the straps on the smith machine. When I first saw the video where you use them, I thought it was steel attached to the bar like some type of Safety bar but then I realized it was actually straps lol Nice tip right there

@@hunter_labrada I think it does sound pretty good! Maybe just turn the music down a couple of notches. That way it's more of a background noise rather than the same level as Hunter's voice (coming from someone watching on a tablet w/ out headphones). Keep up the good work, guys!

Doesn’t reverse band just distribute the resistance evenly through the exercise? I still don’t see this as a benefit to hypertrophy as u can just reduce the load if it’s to hard to get out of the hole when In a deep squat. When doing a heel elevated smith squat the goal is to train the quads in a lengthen position therefore if u do the exercise without a band it will be harder at the lengthen position but that is the goal isn’t it?
@MereCashmere2 жыл бұрын
Agree. I feel like it’s unnecessary work. Also, if your muscle is weaker in the shortened position, don’t you want to change that, and not continue to let it be weaker? I feel like that’s a recipe for an injury. He’s overthinking the relationship between muscle length and strength. Also don’t hold your breath for an asset lol he doesn’t check these comments
@leesaiyuan59862 жыл бұрын
Hunter is a prime example of overcomplicating stuff. There is no “ideal” resistance profile like he always claims. There’s just different resistance profiles. Not every exercise needs to have an “even” resistance profile. Also, his idea of active range is hilarious especially watching his crew doing some half ass reps on the nautilus lat pulldown and rows and calling it “active range”. Trying hard to sound smart with the buzzwords but doesn’t know the true application of the variables he’s always mentioning in an actual programming context. Everyone wants to sound smart these days. But what do I know, I’m just another fitness enthusiast 🤷🏻♂️
@leesaiyuan59862 жыл бұрын
Also reverse banding a hack doesn’t make it more effective lol. It just creates a DIFFERENT resistance profile. Not more effective. One can argue to say that not banding the hack because they want to overload the lengthened range of the quads. It’s not the be all end all. But this guy just makes it seem like reverse banding the shit out of everything is the key to make an exercise perfect
@hunter_labrada2 жыл бұрын
@@leesaiyuan5986 I didn’t know a 10% load reduction is “banding the shit” out of something…
