The QX50 is $6,000-7,000 off MSRP or low-mid $40's and the best deal out of this group even with $4,000 off MSRP XT4 making it the same price as the RDX. Sliding and reclining rear seat is icing on the cake for versatility. Both QX50 and XT4 have better handling and braking than SH-AWD can provide.

I think the RDX is the best looking SUV/Crossover on the market. Im new car shopping at my local Honda/Acura dealership and they had a bright blue one and a red one like Matt's and that is an amazing vehicle in terms of its precision handling. I wish it had a little more power like 350 to 400 HP would be perfect instead of its 280 it has. But that is the only complaint i have. I will probably buy it and i recommend it highly to anyone wanting to buy a new SUV/Crossover.

I love this car. I truly do. One thing that pisses me off, so much to the point that I’m considering not buying until they fix (if they do); the HUD is not offered in the a-spec trim. That was the stupidest, most annoying, logic-less decision Acura made regarding the RDX. And it’s not like they just want you to buy the higher trim level (the Advanced trim), because they don’t even offer it as an option to pay for. And the worst part is that it makes more logical sense for a HUD to be in a performance-forward trim level, relative to other. Total bummer.

My friend said he thinks the engine should be higher to be more accessible For what it's worth I was a bit underwhelmed by the engine bay.....I mean this isn't a Corolla.....at least put an a spec badge somewhere.... You forgot the BMW X3 Xdrive. That is the one that has this beat. In performance, build quality, interior, engine/trans. They cost more but you can work deals on them. I got a loaded one with the harmon kardon stereo, leather, panoramic roof, 19 inche wheels luxury package etc... The RDX is not remotely as nice. The X3 is quieter, and the bi turbo will beat the RDX in performance. Plus the Germans know how to get better MPG's from a bi turbo as well. If your buying an A spec or lower trim the RDX it's a great value. But once you get to the mid 40K range on an advanced model you are starting to compete with BMW X3. And you can get crazy deals on bimmers. I got mine for 47K. It listed at 54K. I test drove the RDX and the X3 destroys it on every metric.

By far my vehicle from the Honda family of vehicles. I love the new redesigns on the Acuras, one of the very BEST looking crossovers out there no doubt. I would rather have this over its boring (yawn), ugly, seen everywhere cousin in the Honda CR-V. The extra 9k for the A-Spec RDX over the Touring trim in the Honda CR-V would be worth it and that is coming from a poor guy. Even though this isn't in the same size class, I told a salesman buddy of mine when were discussing Chevy's totally misnamed Blazer, that for the money you would pay for the RST trimmed or Premier trim at the 48kish mark I could get into many Luxury Compact Crossovers like the Acura RDX which is the one I mentioned specifically. Heck even in the same family one can get a 3 row Traverse Premier and High Country. But I digress, back to the Acura RDX A-Spec do you think it compares well in the handling and fun department with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio the non Quadrafolio version to stay close in price? I know that is another CUV that people rave about being able to have fun with carving corners and just all around driving experience. I haven't seen an Acura dealership in my area in the northern panhandle of WV to get a closer look, so I appreciate the thorough review like you always do.

I think wherever you got your times from is wrong, I’ve seen on sites 5.6-5.9 and I tested mine with a 0-60 timer and I got numbers ranging from 5.5-6.1 and the 6.1 was my first run. Update: just checked car and driver, it claims 5.6-5.7 so wherever you got your info from was a good second off on the time
@ryanevans34955 жыл бұрын
Out of curiosity what sites have you seen 5.6 - 5.9? I believe the Car and Driver 5.6 - 5.7 you mention was their estimated 0 - 60 time before they conducted any actual testing. The best I see they achieved in actual testing was 6.6 as Matt mentioned and as seen here: www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a22805391/2019-acura-rdx-a-spec-value-not-performance/ The other website I personally trust for testing is Motortrend and they state a 0-60 of 7.1 here: www.motortrend.com/cars/acura/rdx/2019/acura-rdx-2019-suv-of-the-year-finalist/ I was really hoping the RDX would be closer to initial estimates of the high 5's but at the very least it seems like the vehicles are inconsistent in their performance. When I test drove the RDX it certainly felt much closer to 7 seconds. I really hope they move ahead with a Type S variant that delivers some improved performance in both the handling and power departments.

@@ryanevans3495 Yeah the times i got were definitely pre-testing. Ive been seeing a lot more mid 6 second times for the car. And i agree, the acura community is absolutely dying for a Type s. One of my family members who works in the acura HQ stated that they're making an MDX type-s, for reasons no-one knows... They really need to work on their sedans, no-one is buying the MDX a spec so why would people buy a MDX type s? idk Im really hoping to see an ilx type s so i can trade in this rdx or even a tl type s. I read that theyre making a tax type s with a v6 turbo, lets hope that stays and is accurate bc imagine a type s with a 2.0 T ://///

Look at alex on autos he posted 5.9 in high elevation and said it would be faster in lower elevation around 5.5.

Yes, I would. The infotainment system can be annoying, especially when using smartphone integration, and there have been some owners that have had other issues, but I still think it's one of the best values and best driving vehicles in its segment.

So C&D 6.6 second 0-60 mph was correct on calling it a Bspec or Cspec. Even Consumer Reports's 7.0s 0-60 was also correct. No sub 6-second time for RDX 2.0T.
@ibdustin155 жыл бұрын
The problem is these days...... people will choice a good infotainment system and leg room over performance 9/10 times. If I was looking for a fast 0-60 in a SUV I would not even start to think Acura. I would be thinking about an Audi or Jeep. The Edge ST may be in the running too if price was an issue.

No folding mirrors on U.S. models (because Acura decided only people in Canada need power folding mirrors). Tow receiver is only available in 1 1/4 size, not the 2" standard that 99% of all hitch accessories come in - yet Acura doesn't tell you that on their online or brochure material...I'm guessing for a reason. "Snow" mode is a PoS, got stuck out in Tahoe on the slightest incline. Car manual for A-Spec is the standard manual, does not account for the differences in the A-Spec model - for example it suggest tires chains for the the smaller tire package and makes no reference to the 20" rim package which require different chains. F&F for this car is terrible (but I did set my expectation low knowing it was assembled in the U.S. 1) 1) Seat backing was popped off towards the top of the drivers side seat 2) sunroof gasket was pinched towards the top rear which I noticed as I was washing the car and 3) rear seat rattle which I had to adjust the striker to stop. We've had the vehicle for about 5 months now - I've added my customized touches to it to set it apart from others. Drive is fine, interior is fine, outside style is fine. Scale of 1-10 with 10 being best, this is a 7. I suggested my wife go with the Infiniti instead but she was set on this so we got. But everyday she curse the dumbs$#ts at Acura for not including the folding mirrors that come standard with comparable vehicles.
