TCL is so damn good man. I dont give a F what the haters say and it. I ran the QM7 for a few weeks and I absolutely floored by how good it was. There were a few issues obviously with a TV for that price but man! For $499 bucks I dont think you could ask for a better TV. I was a few days away from Sending my LG C4 OLED Back to Amazon and keeping the QM7. The only reason I decided to keep the OLED was the Amazing Black Levels with 0 Blooming. I found myself feening for those black levels. Although, the QM7 black levels are amazing in its own right. If I never saw the OLED Before the QM7 there is no way you could convince me that the black levels could get any better. I gamed on the QM7, I watched Movies on the QM7, I used the QM7 as a PC Monitor daily. I loved the fact that I didn't have to police how I use the Display at all. I could leave it on all day if I wanted to and not worry about ruining a very expensive TV. I considered Returning both the QM7 and the LG C4 and Getting the QM8 and seeing if those Black levels would give me what I wanted. Ultimately I just decided to keep the C4 because Amazon gave me a $400 dollar Refund to go towards the TV so it just made more sense to keep this TV I already have vs going through the hassle of Boxing and Unboxing another TV. But, I'll be honest. In a Perfect world. I would've just kept QM7 and put that money I saved towards something else. The Colors of the Quantum Dots are Amazing! Honestly, If you dont care about Inky Black Levels. On the Surface I cant find anything else i would want on the QM7 vs. The more expensive OLED. I think TCL is gonna take alot of business from the Big 3 TV companies because they can produce a "Just as Good" to about 95% of ppl TV that doesn't break the bank and they can provide way larger TVs that alot of ppl will prefer over smaller more expensive OLEDS.

Unfortunately, motion clarity & handling is the one thing I just can't downgrade after experiencing my Sonys fix shoddy film direction. It's a case of being spoiled once you've had a taste of actually being able to decipher fast action without it being a blurry incoherent mess that content often likes to push in pursuit of atmosphere or artsy fartsy creative intent If we're paying big money to see something, give us clarity, give us luminance, none of this seizure-cam nonsense scene-lit by a scented candle. Until the day the industry gets that right, I'm going for proper backlight control over more zones, & motion smoothness/clarity/preceding over stretched out size The move to native10bit gradation is a move in the right direction. I remember experiencing 12bit output from my PC, and with these brighter LED displays the level of realism that portrayed simply by subconsciously feeling more nuances at the higher luminance made it feel less like I was looking at something flat but rather thru something, akin to rewatching your TV after freshly cleaning long accumulated layer of dust off, so yes more native 10bit panels for modulated 12bit reproduction please!

What is the purpose of projectors, when TV's of this ilk exist?
@randomtube82263 күн бұрын
@lucee2261 Projectors are designed for a large room with a large audience. Guess it comes down to application and preference. Just thought it would make more sense to go with a projector after a certain size. You can also go with a smaller TV for the same price and have higher quality. ONN also released their 98in. My Walmart has both of them. Large TV's seem to have a shorter life than smaller ones. I'm just generally speaking. There are pros and cons to everything.

I have come to the conclusion that my kids will each have a 100" TV in their rooms, so they avoid becoming cross eyed (blurred vision) from looking close onto small screens such as phones/tablets/laptops/desktops and let's say a 40" TV, so with a 100" TV on the wall it basically covers the entire wall, would look at it from 3-4 meters away, making sure their vision won't degrade. Only real downside is the cost, but that's a small price to pay in the long run, £7k for 2 TVs that easily last a decade. 👀

what? for less than 3500 pounds, dollars and euros you can get a 83 inch OLED ^^ 77 inch is 2100€.^^

Ironically they offer a lot for people that have no much to give for a TV, in my country it beat many TV brands both in price and picture quality, so it all depends on what you will find.

It's not trying to beat the LG G4, it's offering an alternative for those who want a larger screen size and a less expensive tv. Not everything in life is a contest.
