I had missed seeing your videos. Just bought this Keurig machine a week ago as the Bed Bath and Beyond in my area are going out of business, so I only paid $115. I even got one for my mom. I love your detailed reviews and I feel I even learn something even though I have done most of what you show on the video. I told my mom to watch your video as it will help her for sure. I bought one of those reusable kcup filters and didn't recognize it at first, but saw on Amazon someone had a fix and I actually changed it slightly to make it work. I saw you put as a reply to someone that you don't like the descaling. I would recommend a product at Walmart and it's from a company called urnex. It works great on descaling my keurig machines. Overall, I love this machine. It makes such a difference in making my coffee taste better and stronger. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for the video. We just purchased the Supreme Plus and love it. It is quiet and we set up the 1 to 3 settings which make things easy. I was going to return it and get this unit but realize we do not need another connected device in the home or want to go through a device to make changes to our settings. The Supreme Plus is easy and takes any pod. We do prefer the Stainless look to match our kitchen over the Blackend Steel Look of the Smart unit. One thing that is a great update is the display on the Smart unit is raised a bit and tilted towards the front. This makes it much easier to see. Our Plus unit is sitting under our cabinets and it is difficult to see the flat display. Thanks again.

Got my keurig supreme plus smart yesterday via fedex. we brewed some k cups and what a difference with the 5 point system vs the single needle!!!! coffee tastes like coffee. it's more rich and full bodied🙂. vs the elite model to where's i felt like i was drinking sock water all of the time. this thing is a huge improvement🙂

We bought the Smart version and have used it for a couple months. Love the multiple temp and size choices. Love the compactness of the machine, and the large tank. Love the descale interactive instructions. Now, here's the bad part. The tank is on the wrong side. Hello, most people are right handed. If you are removing the tank to fill it, or if you fill the tank with a pitcher (like us), it's awkward to reach the tank with the right hand. Also, the stupid filter tower has an unneccessary cup thingie at the top causing water the spray out when you're filling it. I actually ground away a big hole in that cup to stop the spraying. Works better now. That cup seems to servo no usefull purpose anyway. Dumb. The favorites brew setup only seems to work from the WIFI app. I never got it to work from the machine itself, even though the prompts imply you can. It just keeps saying to hold the button, which yields no result. Lastly, the WIFI brew app randomly thinks there's an old Kcup in the machine and requires you to go flip the handle. That negates any benefit of the app. Overall, despite annoyances, a pretty good machine.

@@JustADad I actually haven’t opened it yet but I have received it. My problem is that I have a good coffee maker (Cuisinart Grind & Brew Single-Serve Brewer) that I bought not long before winning the new one and I don’t know the best proper way to store it long term without it growing mildew in it. We had an old Keurig a while back that we thought we drained before storing it and it got full of mildew, so we just trashed it. Definitely don’t want that to happen again. Any tips is appreciated?

Thanks for your video. I ordered a K-Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker from Keurig this morning (12 Sep 22). They are currently running a sale, and I was able to order the coffeemaker for $114.99, as I recall. You have to purchase a kit, which includes the coffeemaker and at least four boxes (24 count) of K cup coffee. Bottom line: Cost $124.19 (free shipping, includes tax). I thought that was a pretty sweet deal. This will be my third K cup coffeemaker. I had trouble with one, but Keurig replaced it very quickly with no hassle at their expense. Awesome review! 👍 I’ve been using mine for the past two days and I can confirm that it is a great coffee maker. I don’t use the phone app because truth be told, I don’t find it useful. I’d rather do it the normal way. The quick start guide is pretty explanatory on coffee maker’s screen without the need of complicating it with the WiFi app unless you want to register for auto delivery of coffee pods with Keurig. The favorites can be deleted by going to favorites (with a new or used pod inserted only) - press the heart symbol, choose the favorite 1-10, and then press and hold the heart symbol again. Follow the instructions on coffee maker’s screen. This unit is everything I want as Keurigs go and more! I only hope it is going to last at least 2-3 years. The 2.0 l had before lasted 6+ years.

I just bought the K-Supreme Plus Smart as a late Christmas present. This will be my 2nd Keurig, I had a Keurig 2.0 but, wanted to use non Kuerig pods. I'm a geek for smart appliances so, I figured to give it another shot. I haven't received mine yet but, I can't get the app to work on my Iphone XS Max. Works on android though no issue. The app instantly closes on ios 15.1&15.1.1. Tried everything, calling Keurig and Apple.

I’ve had the smart Keurig about a week. At first when I put the pods In For the recommended brew, I just pushed the K button and it done everything automatically. Now when I insert a pod and close the lid all the ounce sizes blink continually until I push one of them, then as the coffee is brewing I can’t see if it’s going by the Pods manufacturers settings or not? I was wondering why my Smart Keurig started doing this? I did a factory reset but that did not help. One thing I did notice the other day on the ID was a message That the latest software had been downloaded? Is it possible they Changed something with the new software. The wi-fi Is connected, and I can brew from the app. Also, when I raise the lid to put a pod In, the machine makes a noise for several seconds? I like your videos. They're very professional and Informative.

Thanks for watching!!! thanks so much for your kind words!! yes they did a software update and I have heard this same thing you have described has happened to lots of people with the software update. I think they changed something they did not mean too. I don't have the update yet but when I get I am going to do a video on just what you are talking about, you are not alone on this. The noise you hear is a fan or air pump that blows are around the window for the smart ID Camera. if removes any fog or material around the window so it can take a picture when the lid closes. I had another viewer tell me this so I can not take the credit for it.

Costco took $35 off the supreme plus bundle,bringing it down to $99 (for members only). Includes 15 kcups, charcoal filters, and a MyKcup to use your own grounds. I came here to see if BrewID was worth the extra premium and the display. I have enough items on my wifi already so I was unsure.

@@JustADad I've been using them since about 2010 so ive tried hundreds. I tend to like dark roasts. When barista prima first came out, it was $18 a box, but, was loaded with coffee, i'd guess 14grams per kcup. was an amazing cuppa coffee. but, it changed somehow licensing or what not. Coffee People "Organic" was also amazing. Gone. The Starbucks ones used to be different, years ago, pre v2.0, now they are kinda meh. manufacturers have found over roasting and putting less coffee in the actual cup is the way to go. i always check how many grams are in a cup on the box. biggest disappointment is lavazza. PEETS is still pretty true to the more-coffee= tastes best. so Maj Dickason still makes a decent cup. But i miss the old starbucks sumatra, it was better than the current incarnation. Christmas Blend and Tribute Blend, esp in the sbux defunct Verismo, was a delicious cup of coffee. I'm still mostly using my 2 nespresso machines these days. You should try a cup of Costa Rica in the Vertuoline sometime, or, Fortado. very very good stuff. Melozio is their allaround most popular daily drinker for the vertuoline.

I’ve been having issues with the supreme plus. Keurig has had to replace mine 4 times. I love the brewer when it works but it seems to stop working after about 4 months of use. I only drink one cup of coffee a day and I do a water rinse after. The rest of the day it’s used for hot water for tea. It seems to get to where it sputters when it brews and then it doesn’t brew a full cup. I’m wondering if I’d have the same issue with the smart brewer.

Hi and thanks for the this video. I just received my brewer yesterday and having a hard time with the brew id recognizing my pods. I've used all pods with the QR code so not sure what I'm not doing right. I opened the lid all the way so the light comes on.. I tried calling Keurig but they were no help.

yes this is just like the older K supreme, the upper needles do collect some coffee grounds and fresh water rinses help with this.

Thanks for watching!! even if you don't put a k cup in, it will do a brew, these are called fresh water rinses which you should do one at least once a week. it will even let you brew an old kcup more than once, it just reminds you that its an old kcup. the machine does not ever prevent you from doing a brew, even if it does not recognize the k cup

Ok I have to ask. Has anyone with this brewer been getting a nasty taste from it? It’s like a chemical taste almost. I’ve taken the water filter out to see if that was the cause but no change. I’ve ran hot water out and you can smell a funky smell in the water. I know you can’t burn water lol but that’s what it reminds me of. I don’t know what kind of tubing is used inside of these and wondering if the hot water is causing some kind of reaction to whatever the tubing is? Or maybe I’m just plain nuts. None of my other Keurig’s ever gave a bad taste until this one. I’ve always used my filtered water out of the fridge. Even tried regular tap.

I am loving my new Keurig smart! I’m curious though is anybody experiencing an issue where it doesn’t keep track of some of your K cup usage? I look in my smart auto delivery and one brand in particular doesn’t seem to keep up with the correct quantity on hand. I see I can manually adjust my unhand quantity but was curious why it wasn’t automatically doing it correctly

@just a dad video do you think the smart brewer is more stable? I have had a lot of issues with the K supreme plus. I have had 4 replacements sent to my by Keurig. After about 2-3 months it no longer brews a full cup. I have not took out the water reservoir and I do a water rinse after my one cup of coffee a day. We mostly use it for hot water for tea bags. I got mine Friday, 7/30. The app with the favorites is cool but we were really disappointed this morning when we discovered that a scheduled brew does not automatically start brewing at the scheduled time. You are instead sent a reminder that it time to brew with the brew tab/button ready for you to select. It's just as convenient for my husband to stop by the maker and manually start a cup the same as before. Bummer, we were really looking forward to how we believed that feature work.

@@JustADad you didn't mislead me at all. I didn't purchase the brewer based on your review. Unless you recieved yours early as a KZbin reviewer I would have gotten mine around the same time as you did yours. I ordered it the same day it was released. Auto-delivery subscribers recieved an email about it and a 25% off code to use on it. I unfortunately discovered another flaw, this time with the favorites feature. You can have multiple favorites but you cannot have more than one favorite with the same settings. For instance, I drink a variety of flavored coffee and I had planned on setting a favorite brew setting for each flavore after I played around and discovered what I liked the most. Obviously some flavors would have the same setting but when I went to set the other flavors I was informed there was already a favorite with those settings. I wanted a setting for each flavore whether some were duplicate or not so I could easily find the favorite as the name would be the same as the pod. Instead I need to remember which favorite is for which pods. It would also be inconvenient if larger families had planned on each member having their own favorite setting and more than one person wanted the same setting. I guess in that instance they could give the favorites numbers and everyone could remember their number. It's one number where I need to remember which one for each pod. That's not really how I envisioned using that feature. The brewer itself is great so far, it's just the app that's falling short for me. The Smart Auto-delivery isn't even panning out. Only a small percentage of coffee available for Auto-delivery is available for Smart Auto-delivery. My husband's Green Mountain Dark Magic Decaf, my Green Mountain Brown Sugar Crumle and Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce was available. The Folgers Classic or Black Silk was not, nor my Lipton and Bigelow teas. I set up a Smart Auto-delivery anyway because there's a promo that gives you 4 free boxes if you do, but I had to keep a separate regular Auto-delivery going to for the Folgers and others that I can't get with the smart version. Hopefully they will add more options later.

Keurig is starting to do what Tassimo would do when it was still a thing. Read a barcode in this case like a QR code to adjust all its settings for each individual coffee. I really was a fan of Tassimo when it was a thing & it's neat to see a high end Keurig start to get a little more fancy! I like that your showing off some of the features.... I remember being young and at my prime willing to jump blindly into anything & just figure out out. But..... Now I am slightly intimidated. I'll still figure stuff out on my own! But.... I get like stressed when it's not immediate lol. It's cool how it tells the recommended setting and you just gotta hit a button to brew it or you can adjust it. Like.... The concept excites me way to much to some degree! lol I heard the K supremes you can't use some of the compostable coffee pods... But I got the ORIGINAL Keurig still working, and one of the K-Compact ones for that. The gimmick of leaving a k-cup and cup in it the night before and tell it to brew my coffee in bed lol. & play with all the settings. Once again.... I think I am way too excited. lol Likely going to spend a long time drinking the same exact type of coffee till I figure out what settings I like best as well! Scored a Amazon Warehouse deal of one of these for a great discount!

When I descale my K supreme plus smart in descale mode it descales cold, not hot...almost like the heating element is not functioning. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my machine? The coffee still brews hot though.

Yes I think an updated to the software changed the water temp, I noticed that mine also runs the water through cold in descale mode.

@@JustADad Interesting. Do you think that is a feature or a bug? Seems to me that descaling should be done with hot water not cold. Also during the rinse cycle the display says run hot water. And the fact that it comes out cold suggests to me that it is indeed a bug.

@@JustADad Can I descale it without activating descale mode? In other words just run a bottle of descale solution with equal amount of water then run two full rinse cycles through the machine. That way it will use hot water. I mean what does activating descale mode actually do besides walk you through the process and activate a descale light and deactivate it when it is done. If I know the process and do it in regular mode would that be ok do you think?

yes, when you brew in on the hottest setting and boldest brew, it comes close, if you have quality k cups, but it will never be as good as ground coffee with a mocamaster coffee maker.

This is only if you subscribe to auto delivery. Was going to go this route but googled real bad reviews about Keurig charging your card, not delivering and terrible customer service where people wait hours only to be told something they don't want to hear. Don't want those kind of headaches so I went with Kohl's, they have it on sale for $219 plus additional 20% off with $30 Kohl's cash and $17 Kohl's rewards since we're using their card. In addition Kohl's will replace any small appliances in case something goes wrong no questions asked, so no need for extra warranty. Picking it up tomorrow killing two birds with one stone using that $30 Kohl's cash 😊

I just bought this today as my other Keurig finally went paws up. I had not seen you video until just now. So, I am impressed! I am anxious for it to arrive. Did you get it to work with Alexa? I could see being in bed and asking Alexa to turn it on. That would save some time. Thanks for the review! Very nicely done!

don't put a k cup in and close the lid, then press the big brew k button and then select the size you want then the big brew k button.

They should put in the app that you have to be connected to the 2.4 gigahertz side of your router in order to get online... So if you're trying to connect to the 5 GHz side it just won't happen

Yes, it is! but it does cost $200 bucks. If you drink lots of k cups then Keurig is doing a special where if you agree to purchase 16 boxes of K cups from them they will give you $100 bucks off. You have a year to make the purchase of the 16 boxes. I will be doing a live stream tomorrow at 9:30 am central time on this coffee maker.

The smart feature seems like a gimmick to me. Most k cups will all have same brew settings. Its more about selling k cups that are not knock offs . I wish they made this finish in the non smart models... Its a nice dark color

Mine is a piece of junk. It wont turn on when I lift the handle and it keeps resetting when it does start making coffee; so it only makes about an ounce of coffee before it turns off. Dont buy!

Keurig phone support has just informed me that they have removed the BrewID feature with the latest firmware update . Therefore the Keurig no longer will recognize any pods and set the brew settings to the recommended settings. What a bummer!!!!! Shame on you Keurig.

I thought that at first but you can still brew any k cup in it. With the smart brew it only gives you recommended brew setting when it recognizes the k cup, if it does not recognize the k cup then it acts like a normal k supreme and lets you choose the settings.

The only problem is it doesn’t load and eject pods. Once you pierce that pod - that coffee is no longer fresh. Once you open up your vacuum-sealed grounds jar and load a re-useable cup - an hour later, that reusable cup has hour-old ground. Can I tell the difference between hour-old ground that’s been sitting in my brewer? I don’t think I can … but that pesky thought is still there.
