This is my edc setup . 17 rounds in the gun and another 2 full mags in my pocket 49 rounds total i have plenty of ammo for multiple attackers if needed. headshots and heart shots are lethal with a 22lr or 9mm. Less chances of over over penetration in urban environments. If you had to use it in self defense and fired a round it sounds just as loud as a 9 mil or any other pistol. What counts is speed of the draw and shot placement. The p17 lets me practice more at the range because its affordable ammo for my budget. i focus on those two principles the most and i feel very confident in its lethality as an edc. If i was defending my life im aiming for the head and hitting the perp as many times as possible . nobody on earth can survive multiple head shots from my p17. THE BEST 22LR PISTOL AND A GREAT BEGINNER GUN WHILE STAYING ON A BUDGET.

$200 for the upgraded slide -w- optics included, not bad, but turns a $200 plinker into a $400 plinker. Kinda want one... but kinda hesitant. Only seen a couple users talk about friction between the stock slide bar and internal parts. Does that still happen or is that just a rare problem?

@@Another1to10dude surprised it shot well because the manual says to use HIGH Velocity ammo and the 2 you used are not high velocity. I tried cci ar tacticals (1200 fps) and it kept getting stove pipes every 2-3 shots. Switched to cci mini mags (1260 fps) and its been running flawless since. Just ordered this red dot and it should be here tomorrow or wednesday then test it on sunday. HOPEFULLY it works well and cycles the ammo. I have seen 2 videos where they had nothing but issues with it trying to cycle ammo, when they swapped back to the oem slide, it worked perfect, they put the red dot slide on and issues every 2-3 shots. Another video with the same red dot slide, they shot over 3000 round with no issue ...

@ACommenterOnKZbin Oh man I didn’t realize that many people were having issues with it! I wonder what cans they were using and if that had anything to do with it? I know that if I don’t scrape my extractor and feed ramp every so often I’ll get some F2F. But once that’s out of the way I haven’t had any issues. I have quite a few thousand on the gun with no real issues, even using the extensions. Perhaps I got lucky or hopefully the ones in the videos you saw were the bad ones and we got the normal ones haha.
@ACommenterOnYouTube10 ай бұрын
@@Another1to10dude none of them had the silencer, just the red it slide. 2 had big issues with f2f while the other video ran thru a LOT with no issues at all. I guess it must be ammo related because keltec does say use high velocity ammo and all the video's i watched including yours, NONE used high velocity. ammo which is 1200+ fps. Now the cci ar tacticals are 1200 but i had issues with f2f constantly .... And that was the 1st day i got the gun and it acted up and i was pist off. Then i got the cci mini mags which are 1260 fps so thats only 60 fps more, not sure how much more kick that is but with that ammo it ran flawless. I have put about 20 mags worth of mini mags thru this P17 and its been rock solid. Just hoping when i get this red dot slide that these mini mags are stong enough to cycle it.
@Another1to10dude10 ай бұрын
@ACommenterOnKZbin Hmmm. That makes sense on the ammo for sure. I hope yours works as it should man! Ammo definitely plays a massive role, especially when using semi auto and rimfire. CCI ammo has also never disappointed me between that and Aguila I’ve never had any issues.
