remove the minute hand when it is showing 05 and replace it at 00 and your date problem is solved! This must be an oversight during the assembly process. Nice review!

Thanks DjScreaM514. Hahaha I don't thinks it's an oversight coz the Seiko Sharp Edged Series also has its problem. I tested a few of them and they are all the same.

Seems like you are fast becoming a super Seiko fan :) anyway really like the different shades of green under different lighting. And with this price point, its really a good buy. Nice kotobukiya hulk fine art by the way. Im a statue collector :p

Love my Sumo HULK! IT'S the watch I get the most comments on, I have Sub no date, & Tudor BB, no case comes close to the Sumo case design, The Dial indices are domed, lumibrite filled, Very Legible, no need for AR coating, I just love the way the bezel disappears into the case on side profile, I want to get the Black Black, but the Sumo Green is very very Unique, A treat in sunlight, & dark in shade, I look at Sub Hulk And its a very High contrast green Sumo Hulk is Soft and playful, 😁

My SPB101 J1 sumo is losing roughly 30 sec's a day. I just bought it last 2020. I think its to early to send it for a service. Any advise on this matter?

If it's under warranty you should send it in and ask them to have a look. It shouldn't lose so much in a day.

I had to send mine back to seiko as time keeping was rubbish! 2 and a half minutes a day gain!!! Still waiting for it!! Should have bought the king turtle and saved a few pounds!

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully they get that fixed. Mine is still working fine. Its probably a QC problem. Even so, Seiko shouldn't have let this happen. Hope you get it back soon. ✌🏻
