I think that the lead actress generally has the most cheesy dialogue like for example "We have unfinished business, attack me with all your strength". Another thing that this show gets wrong is underestimating the audiences intelligence by having all the characters saying exactly what they're thinking, remember, show don't tell.

The film industry is work. Yes, this is creative work, but damn, when an architect, landscape designer, artist or engineer comes to you with an offer to buy his work. You expect the job to be done well. If the architect does the project the way he wants, and not the way I ordered because “the design of this arch was my therapy,” I will not pay for it. In the case of this series, the customer was the audience, and the product was the previous parts. The writing team was expected to follow the story logically and they failed. They failed to satisfy the customer and it is only their fault. And blaming the audience they only got themselves into more trouble. To be honest, this alone is enough to say that the series is shit. Seriously, do you come to your audience, spit in their face with this stupid rap video and expect objective criticism of a series that the audience didn’t like from the beginning? I'm sorry, but I'm tired of this. I would rather be a racist, sexist and homophobic than a person who eats shit. Well, more precisely, people who are simply unable to film something at the level of: As good as it gets will call me that; Hidden Figures; Django Unchained; I am a robot; Green Book; Dallian buyers club. And other films that, by a strange coincidence, the audience liked despite the black actors, women and gay characters.

I just find it to be poorly written. You're valid in liking it, but it just comes off like a highschooler wrote it. Now I understand star wars hasn't always had the greatest writing but at least the plots were fun and enjoyable to watch, this really hasn't been enjoyable for me, but not alot of what Disney has made with Star wars has been very good to begin with. The sequel trilogy was awful. Plot holes everywhere, no direction, no plan, nothing was thought out or discussed between films. The actors did great with what they were given, Rey wasn't a great character but the actress did her best at trying to make the role enjoyable. It just no longer feels magical like star wars did in the past. We are getting too much content and it's starting to show its wear and tear.
