100% agree. I just got my versa and nothing wants to work except continuous dosing. I’m still trying to figure things out so I may be casting judgment a little prematurely. But I definitely agree that a $200+ dosing pump should be way more user friendly. Bro you’re really putting out the content. Keep’m coming.

The kind words are very appreciated. Ready for the fix? This is what worked for me. When you set the schedule, set little periods where it stops dosing. So like at schedule change points, schedule a sliver of “no dosing” span, for like 5 minutes, and then schedule it to resume dosing right after. I couldn’t believe that was a workaround. But I got mine working when I scheduled very short “no dose” periods between dosing shifts. Unreal.

Any followup to this Versa issue? Venture capital unfortunately isn’t interested in long term improvement, just short term profit, like most Wall Street corporations. What scares me more is venture capital involvement in healthcare, which is way more prevalent than most people know.

Venture capital operations make me pretty nervous/skeptical, every time they step in. I’m a capitalist for sure, but I just think there’s some some unhealthy activity, in our modern era, that’s become commonplace, and is running unchecked and unregulated and causing quality, service, and competition to all suffer tremendously. The current venture capital climate is one such “arena” I’m concerned with. As for EcoTech, their advice was, after more hounding from me: “Reset, reset, reset again, and then try breaking your schedule up into multiple parts so each segment will be easier for the processor to ‘handle’ and execute”. I’m amazed that whatever internals they have in the Versa need to have a schedule segmented out, in order to not get “confused” and fail to complete the schedule, but wow, what a weird bug. It actually worked after I broke up the schedule into multiple parts, with 10 minute downtime intervals between the various parts.

@@kalamazoo_reeferI just think Versas are Porsche level pumps hobbled by wonky software and possibly a cheaper weaker processor… just my conspiracy theory. I haven’t had any issues with my versa but then again I run it continuously at night only to minimize that pH swing and adjust based on Hanna alk checker and a simple pH meter (American marine inc.). Apex is just too expensive to me given what I’d probably use if for-monitoring but not controlling-WiFi plugs do that for me. Guess I’m just not into tech for it’s own sake…your mileage may vary as they say.

@@MW-ut3dk Outside of monitoring, I could run 90% of my tank functions on Kasa smart power strips honestly. The monitoring is nice, and cuts out work, but I’d say investing in a controller system is an unnecessary expense ultimately. Now that I’ve got it, I’ve got it, and I like the monitoring aspects, but were I to start from scratch right now, knowing what I know, I’d pass on the purchase and invest that stack of cash into corals.
