10:02 GREAT ADVICE! For so long I felt terrible that I didn’t have roads and illusions that looked like castles or skyscrapers and a complete theme. I thought my island was shameful but when I tried to change it, I thought no bc it was exactly the way I wanted it to be. I slowly stopped feeling bad about it.

I still have the same “unfinished” island that I started with. Designing felt so tedious that I never got done. I would love this game so much more if the happy home paradise designing tool was available to use on your own island. I find that to be so much easier. Also so much less pressure to make the right choices since it’s easy to undo and change things. This makes me want to go back and try again though

i audibly gasped when i saw the flag and also when you saw lyman! i think this video reminded me of your dedication and all the work you put into your channel and your content. I remember this island and the style decisions you made for it really involved your community and i’m really grateful for that, but i’m also glad that you are intentionally reclaiming this game and playing it just for yourself. thanks for still sharing it with us! i’m always excited to watch a new video from you!

well this is a throw back. Guac is extra. 🤣. i still have a picture on my switch of a notice board posting you did when you visited my island and you drew Lyman with hweeds written across the top. When i recently restarted my island i also got Lyman as a starter and it instantly made me think of you. Your videos are so comforting and calming and im so happy you are making content again😁

i remember when i would watch all of your videos when you were designing this island and watching your progress helped me finish my first island! it's so cool to see it again and i wish i would have saved my dream address from my finished island so i could do this

man, i haven't watched your videos in a long time. i was obsessed with the 5am and chill ones. i always watched them before i went to school online. i recently restarted my island and this brought me back to eighth grade, only now im in my college dorm studying for my poli sci degree

I always put on a KZbin video that has the 5am music with rain every night to help me sleep. It does the job. It's the most special time of day for me, both in real life AND in Animal Crossing. ❤

I was so happy to see a tour of this. i used to watch the animal crossing & chill videos as a way to wind down for the day ^^ wasnt that long ago yet feels so nostalgic

Thank you for the reminder that no one goes into the museum at DAs - I'm still trying to finish my very first island ever (played hardcore Dec 2022-spring 2023, then abandoned it until spring 2024), and I've been struggling with wanting to finish the museum. But I'm also getting tired of my current island (lol), and I'd like to finish it so I can start a new one with some of the millions of ideas I have floating around in my head. I know I'm never gonna have a slow burn, play as you go, forever island until I some day get a second Switch, so I should just lean into finishing this island and starting the next one, but part of me is still like, "But the museummmmm..." lol

I've never restarted my island because I unfortunately don't have the NSO subscription (I did use the free trial so I was able to get some stuff as well as all the fruits at least). The one thing that I didn't like about the custom paths was the fact that they don't have any real sound when you walk over them unlike a normal path, so it was a struggle trying to finish my Island and make it the way that I wanted to. I felt like I needed custom paths in order for my Island to look really really cool, and at one point I got burnt out. But just recently, I went back... and I actually love everything about it. I love the custom terraforming and the ways that I utilized the default paths. It doesn't take fancy pads and super pretty special items in order to make your Island look unique. Sometimes you need to just step away for a while, so that when you come back to it it feels like your eyes are fresh. Coming back to my Island after so long really felt like coming home, and I'm really glad that I did it because I really miss this game after not having played it for a little while.

Such a cute island! All the water is cool! And that arcade in your house is awesome! I've had my current island for over a year now and I don't even remember what my storage unit-- I MEAN my house looks like on the inside 😂 Like you I really only focus on the outside, and I hate decorating my house because villagers will constantly come over uninvited and interrupt me. Also yes, I'm still using "the path", lol.

If I visit an island and the inside of the houses look like crap I leave immediately. lol It's a REAL shame some people completely ignore it and only design the outside.

I took a break from playing after finishing and getting 5 stars on my island Mollusca, went back and I’ve completely revamped it. Currently at 4 stars because I have too many trees according to Isabelle but I like it that way so.
