Rev'It! Poseidon 2 Gore-Tex Jacket:
The Rev'It Poseidon 2 GTX is the successor to the popular Rev'It Poseidon GTX. They have further developed this great touring jacket at Revit and where necessary, improved it. They did this by utilising the feedback they received from riders around the world. One of the most important improvements is the completely renewed outer material of this jacket, which is lighter and more flexible than the predecessor. The ventilation is also taken care of and improved, resulting in the VCS aquadefence (Ventilation Control System) with an air flow that is much more effective than before. Another innovation compared to the old model is the removable storm collar. Furthermore, there are other minor improvements that will be discussed later in the text.

How do you wear it !? Do you put the kit directly after the underwear or you guys wear the kit over your regular Jeans and shirt! ??

@@psp216 Hey Reynaldo, You need to wear a ‘base layer’ in winter I wear merino wool, top and bottom, in summer polyester ‘mesh’. So when you sweat, the moisture can evapourate from the base layer and pass out through the Goretex. It is amazing! Good bents for summer too. As the laminated membrane is windproof.

@@juggy666 helllo! Very interesting! , do I wear this as a normal cloths over my underwear!? Or I need to put my regular clothes on and then put the revit kit over it !? 🤔Thanks

@@psp216The suit has a removable thermal liner to keep you warm instead of clothes in winter. I ride down to about 5 degrees. Normal clothes would stop the Goretex working.

The Poseidon 2 GTX comes with plenty of adjustment options so you'll be able to fit additional layers underneath. In addition to this, the jacket is also prepared for Revit's Challenger cooling vest insert, so it will fit extra layers. Thanks for the question!

Compared to the Antartica, the Poseidon will be slightly more 4-season focused due to the greater number of vents. However, both are top of the range, and will perform as such. Other than this, the Antartica comes with some extra features that do make it more user friendly such as Tizip waterproof vents, glove pockets, detachable cargo pockets, and the exterior kidney belt. What is the difference between this jacket and the Neptune 2 GTX?

The main difference is that the Poseidon 2 GTX will be the next level up from the Neptune 2 GTX. This means that while the Poseidon 2 uses a Gore-Tex Pro Shell construction and Superfabric, the Neptune 2 uses a 600D Polyester chassis with Teflon coating. This means that instead of having the waterproofing membrane integrated into the jacket, the Neptune has a removable Gore-Tex liner. The two jackets will offer similar features as far as impact protection and the vents of the Poseidon 2 GTX will keep out water better. Thanks for the question!

Both the Antartica and the Poseidon 2 GTX are top of their respective touring ranges and the main difference will be the seasonal focus of the two jackets. While both are meant to be 4-season jackets, the Antartica will have a slightly stronger focus on cold weather riding than the Poseidon 2 GTX. This comes from its 700 fill power goose down liner and fewer number of vents. Besides this, the Antartica will come with slightly more user friendly features including the high-quality waterproof Tizip vent closures, which will keep water out without requiring additional steps like on the Poseidon, clever glove pockets, and a kidney belt on the outside that will let you adjust it as you need.
