Well that's to be expected from the Liberal party. This is far from being their first money scandal and it most certainly won't be the last. What is surprising is they've actually admitted fault and will repay? Props for that but at the same time, shouldn't there be some serious consequences? And I don't mean just throwing some low tier intern under the bus, but the people actually responsible for the mess in the first place, no matter their station.

@ESUSAMEX8 жыл бұрын
The private sector is not public and can do what it wants. Moreover, if I do not agree with what a private company does with its money, I could stop using that company's services or products. For example, I will never buy any ice cream from Ben & Jerry's because they spend their earnings to support uber-liberal programs and candidates. The public sector- better known as the government-- should not be allowed to misuse my tax dollars in any way, because I cannot legally stop paying taxes to said government in protest.

Rex’s analysis of government moving expenses is asinine. When he talks about making a killing on housing prices when moving from Toronto to Ottawa, he completely ignores the poor bastard who has to move from Ottawa to Toronto. The rules are clear on what can be claimed in these circumstances and when you consider the full picture you would be hard put to come up with a more equitable system. It’s easy to pick on civil servants because they are prohibited from speaking up in public People like Rex should put his brain in gear before activating his tongue.

The fact is the liberals tried to get away with the "relocation fees". I can understand a reasonable moving expense but it does not cost $100,000.00 to move from Toronto to Ottawa.So you are talking maybe $4000.00 for moving the truck and load offload services. Legal fees maybe $ 4000.00. Even if you added another $6000.00 for incidentals like drapes etc the total would be $ 14000.00. That would be a generous amount. So how can a government that claims they are transparent and for the people of Canada justify paying their employees the princely sum of $100,000.00 in moving expenses? It is called entitlement.
@maggieandjim19345 жыл бұрын
Just call a moving company and get a quote...its easy....and its criminal and really whomever was responsible for doling out this money should go to jail.....why is it the political parties are all above the law
