This is almost too good to be true, must test it right away! Have successfully used back combing to blend colors near the root but this technique maybe less damaging for especially processed hair? Heather G thank you Heather, it was Redken Clay Lightener. I only realised after I up loaded the video that I hadn’t included the brand on bleach “doh” it doesn’t lift the lightest but it great on the condition so I love the fact you can bleach the hair again with it at a later day. Big plus for me. 😁👍🏻

Lots better more informative. We used to do this kind of thing years ago with spatula technique. Do u not find every balyage is ajways finished off curly never straight???
@TheLifeOfHair
@TheLifeOfHair 4 жыл бұрын
Yes superb I love a spatula technique, sometimes Balyage has finished a straight I think it depends on how well it was executed LOL I tend to use ombre techniques if the hair is going to run straight all the time Just for that more seamless feel the definition and contrast in a balayage can sometimes seem a bit odd if it’s straight 👍🏻

Hello can you tryy a blond balayage on this black hair mannequin ??
@TheLifeOfHair
@TheLifeOfHair 4 жыл бұрын
Balyage probably isn’t the perfect technique to go from black to blonde due to the nature of the of air processing techniques don’t lift as well as for techniques that are in foil clingfilm if you wanted to go from black to bond with a Balyage type is the fact you would be better off backcombing the sections and fully saturating the end

Hello gorgeous. Thank you for the video. Very informative. I have a question please, does this rubbing in technique cause split ins or damage to the hair shaft by the all the friction caused by the amount of rubbing in takes with the bleach? I’d be afraid of causing damage to already lightened and fragile hair. I love this tho
@WeirdEWonderful
@WeirdEWonderful 5 жыл бұрын
Hey James, thank you for the great tips. Which clay lightener do you use? We are a loreal salon so only would get studio one, but I haven't tried their clay lightener. Just wondering what's your favourite? Cheers x
@TheLifeOfHair
@TheLifeOfHair 5 жыл бұрын
Erica B. Thank you for your question and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. In this particular video I used Redken clay bleach. which is very similar to the L’Oréal, I’ve used a few clay liners now Redken doesn’t give you the most left but it does retain the condition very well. So it’s great for multiple visits taking your client lighter each time which is great for business 😁👍🏻
@WeirdEWonderful
@WeirdEWonderful 5 жыл бұрын
@@TheLifeOfHair sadly where I live, people hate to commit to multiple visits and they want maximum lift no matter what in one visits, but I am also advocating for healthier lift.. but thank you for your reply, the balayage is booming again for me for the past few weeks and your ribbon technique is so good for those dark clients that want to go lighter for the summer. And also I presume that you use shades eq for toners? X
@TheLifeOfHair
@TheLifeOfHair 5 жыл бұрын
Erica B. Erica B. Yes Eric there exactly the same where, but I don’t give them too much choice in a lot of ways, there are some instances where I trying to achieve maximum brightness in one visit but usually it’s because the hair is in premium condition before I start. A great application for clay bleach is when a client is quite light and Wants to be even lighter. Clay bleach and a bonder processed it for say 20 to 30 minutes and get the hair even lighter. This works really well to.

It would be helpful to newly qualified stylists (like myself) to know what strength peroxide you are using in all your videos. Thank you
@TheLifeOfHair
@TheLifeOfHair 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jacqueline quick question so for Balyage techniques I generally use 30 or 40 vol because of the nature of air processing, and for foil techniques are use 10, 20 and 30 vol And it very much depends on how long I want to leave it on or how dark the hair is so really dark I bump the developer or if I don’t want to leave of to long. 😁👍🏻
