Notice how he loves to bring up Sting, as one of his favorite opponents? Ric Flair and Sting are actually very close friends, and have been for at least 30-35 years! That right there says it all. When you have an opponent, that you know that you can trust, in that ring, gettin' the pops, and gettin' the job done, then that says it all! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I seen Flair wrestle in 78 at the Wrestling At The Chase. He and Harley Race who was Kansas City and at times my uncles roommate who wrestled as well as refereed then got into it. It was awesome as he said. You couldn't fit more than 100 people in the Chase. I remember when my uncle had passed away seeing Harley Race pop in and we talked for a little. Rocky Johnson popping in as well as wrestling at the chase. I never would have known the kid who was my age and very tall and skinny was going to be the Rock. He never talked much imagine that. He was vet stingy with toys as well. The only wrestler we feared Dwayne Johnson and I was Andre The Giant. He would wrestle at the old Keil Auditorium. A huge man with a deep voice. Flair was a true champ, professional and always nice with respect to my grandmother. A stand up guy!

During the Wrestling at the Chase era St, Louis was practically the capital of wrestling in the U.S. Pretty much every wrestler's goal was to work the Saturday night show at Kiel Auditorium because it was like being on the Tonight Show was for a comedian during the Carson era. If you gave a good performance and the promoter Sam Muchnick liked it your career was made. You can still see wrestling at Kiel when the WWE is in town-Enterprise Center is on the site where Kiel once stood. The Chase Park Plaza is still around it has been converted to luxury apartments.

The main reason the pay per view was at the TWA Dome is that WWF as it was called at the time had an exclusive contract for wrestling at Kiel Center now known as Enterprise Center.

Ric Flair the 60 Minute Man. There is one thing about Ric Flair did you got to admire what is that was 300, 3, 000 or 30,000. wrestling fans in attendance you got the same Ric Flair every time. The man knew how to play the crowd. It is the Nature Boy says go you will never ever be first but you might be NEXT. Will there ever be a another Ric Flair ? Whooooo.... I don't think soooo.... Ric Flair is the 1.3 million dollar man. He's been in a plane crash broke his back. Standing at a airport beside a fella got struck by lightning killed him dead. Ric, would say... I have done it ALL. And I am still kick' in and still stick' in. Whoooooooooooooooooo...

The goat Ric Flair is the Michael Jordan of wrestling everybody else is fighting to be second Rick was the ultimate wrestler is wrestling skills are great is promo skills or great in-ring ability was great and him making other wrestlers look better than they were were top notch and the guy could sell a match like nobody's business he had all the intangibles I can't say that about anybody else there's a bunch of all-time greats but there's only one greatest of all time it's the Nature Boy

Flair is great when he talks not selling the character. His podcast with Conrad didn't work out but it wasn't the right approach. If Brian Last hosted that, it would be the hottest wrestling podcast ever. He gets great stories out of Ron Fuller. Imagine what he could do with Naitch.

Well they were. They kicked WWEs ass for a pretty long time and forced them to get away from the cartoon wrestler bullcrap that they had coasted on since the 80s. If it weren't for the roll that WCW went on we would never have seen the Attitude Era. We'd probably still have wrestlers with "jobs" and only have slow big men in the top slots. WCW (the NWO angle specifically) changed wrestling forever.
