This is truly an awesome recipe! I’ve seen other Asian chefs make this dish, but yours is truly the BEST!! ABSOLUTELY the best. But I love cabbage and onions in recipes so this really was great!!

White girl here, my school had a korean exchange student. We became best friends, I got her to join the tennis team with me, I taught her how to drive, and she introduced me to the best food in the world. To this day it's my favorite, I can feel it heal me heart and soul. Anytime I travel, I look for a korean restaurant. They're are hard to find, my favorite one is hours away. I go once a year, and I wish Korean food was as popular as Chinese or Mexican, where as you can find 1-3 of those types of eateries in town. Every chef with this kind of knowledge is so precious!

my mom used to make this for me ALL of the time, and while i liked it, i got sick of it after awhile. lol delicious and easily modifiable dish though. easy to add more veggies, protein, eat with brown and/or white rice, cauliflower rice, udon noodles, etc.

I just made this today for the dinner. Delicious! I can almost feel it in my mouth after a while. Suddenly I bought a random package of black bean paste. It turned out to be the same as the one you have in the video :))) So, I followed your recipe 100% and added a small amount of sugar to the beans. Very good. Maangchi!! When I saw how simple this recipe is I didn't think it'd be this good!! They didn't have black bean paste at my local Chinatown so I used sweet bean paste and it was amazing nevertheless. Made it with tofu. This is my new junk food substitute, delishhh

I adore your channel and was recommending it to my nephew as a proper source for great Korean food when he told me YOU WERE HIS HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER AT WESTERN HIGH IN ANAHEIM?!?!?
