@wetlazer: He had a stroke a while ago. That's the reason he limps around and he looks all "droopy." Hell, he couldn't walk for a while. It also mucked up his metabolism and killed his ability to control certain urges, such as overeating. Most of these things are completely psychological, but when that part of your brain is essentially dead, that makes things a bit more difficult. To paraphrase his mentality, "I'm old, that's stupidly hard, I've already been married, I'm fine the way I am."

@MindHealthSpa I am glad you think people can read minds. If I see someone like Bandler who, as you say, has the skills to model any human behavior, why would I not ask the question: "Why does he appear to be out of shape when he has skills that I do not?" Someone told me he had health issues. So now I know the answer. I am certain you can perceive the irony in that fact that Bandlers' life is about asking questions and yet I cannot? I think he can handle my question.

I see you are very into it. Good if it really works for you. That means you are honest with yourself. Even Bandler himself said ''Do anything that works for you, no matter what it is.'' something like that as I remember. Well summing up, it's fair and clear to say that NLP is a kind of self-mindplay. Good for creativity, good for fun. :)

Okay that makes sense. No offense intended. I would at least like to think you could understand why, as a person without this skillset, I would wonder how a guy with the skillset would be is in such a situation. Although, now that I take a moment to think about it more deeply one might well have asked such a question about Erickson if one didn't have knowledge about Erickson's health challenges. Guess I need to focus on driving my own bus if you get my meaning.

@HypnotizedAwake - I have seen some of the original "Rare Bandler" stuff and at least to me back then he seemed like a real jerk and now he seems a lot less arrogant and brow beating.

Ok, let's talk about dr Bandler than. What do you think of him? Doesn't he look to you as a con? Because he officially claimed that he used strategies of Erickson, Skinner, Satir etc. Modelling let's call it properly. So in my opinion he haven't invented anything new, he had just put it all together for his own work. See my point?

Yes but the rule is you have to convince everyone else around you to NLP, otherwise it won't work. Know what I'm saying? You have to work hard for it. I've tried. Probably I haven't got much faith or determination... I think I should return to it. :)

NLP is fun and creative only if you have one of these God's gifts in this fucked up mental world - time or money. If NOT, you are just wasting your time trying to understand that stuff, been there done that, believe me, you won't even learn 1% of it if you are only INTERESTED in it. I used to love it when I was in high school where I haven't got shit to do or worry.

You have the ability to model anyone and I don't have these tools yet so why would you want to choose to be so chunky and unhealthy?
