There was a famous murder trial in Australia where a mother was charged with killing her baby, she insisted a dingo took the baby from a tent while they were camping in the outback. She was sentenced, and years later they found the baby's clothes, she HAD been taken by a dingo - Azaria Chamberlain. Meryl Streep played the mother in the movie.

I found tim recently because of some recommended videos I saw while I was starting to get into bo burnham. I checked out his old stuff, it was stupid but funny. Then I checked out prejudice and it was hilarious! Something id never seen before. Then I checked out reactions to prejudice and other songs I saw people react to. And they've all been so amazing. The basic shape of a joke is a story that turns out to be a different story than the one you were expecting. Tim is brilliant at this, both in his lyrics and music style. "Lullaby" starts out as a slow, quiet song that descends into a fast-paced, crazed maniacal rant. With "Prejudice", he went one step further and changed music styles just before revealing what The Word actually was.

@@JessRansdellSmith My mom made healthy food that dad could afford. She also didn't boil the shit out of the vegetables so I rarely had a problem eating them. If dad said it was edible, then we ate it. Just because we had to eat what was made didn't mean she would insist on making stuff we hated. Of course she always tried to make stuff that everybody liked. She wasn't a monster. I don't know what your parents were like, but mine cared about us. We just weren't allowed to be wasteful.

Law Enforcement originally bought the story at face value but after further investigation, things weren't adding up. She was convicted on charges of Murd**-1 and sentenced to life without parole.

Did you watch where that scientists found that supposed blood In Chamberlain case was actually rust. They went through the whole forensic case again years later . That vid worth watching for the mistakes they made in first case of Chamberlain case. Quite a few vids, people who were there that weren’t even interviewed at the time

It is now kind of a dark humor joke "that a dingo took my baby" . Another great Tim Minchin parental humor is in the monologue before and after his song If I didn't have you in the" If I Didn't Have You - Full Uncut Version". Other not funny per se (there are touches of it though) a very poignant Christmas song all about Family connection is "White wine in the sun". (Note as he is an Australian it is mid Summer in Australia at Christmas time)

Meh you are not being given context.. a dingo is an Australian native dog, (beautiful actually but not domestic). in the seventies there was a case where a baby Azaria Chamberlain was taken by a dingo from the tent, and her body never found. Her parents (mother) charged with murder. Eventually the mother was released and compensated. At the time no one knew it was possible for a dingo to carry a baby.. but we actually know that now. Having worked on minesites where the dingos get brazen I can say they are cute as a button (especially the pups), quicker than the dead and absolute thieves and pretty smart they can actually open a sliding door.
