What's helped me when people are upset about me having their number is I try and be as helpful as possible. First I mention that I use a service that provides me with information that is publicly available then I proceed to inform them that I will put them on MY company's do not call list then thank them for their time. I get nothing out of it but we hang up on a positive note most of the time.

After doing cold calling for a month now, a multi line dialer is the key to reaching more people. Most people don't pick up the phone, I've dialed 100 numbers in a row with no pick up and it can be discouraging. I would highly reccomend a multi line dialer if you can afford it, if not the single line is okay but like I mentioned earlier you can reach more people with the multi line
