Brokenlikefour they were making fun of Kevin Spacey, who plays the main character, Francis Underwood, in House of Cards, the show Ricky Gervais was parodying. the knocking of the ring on the desk, Superman Returns, and the limp in the Usual Suspects (a movie) are things that Kevin Spacey did. they were implying that Frank Underwood ( House of Cards) would see them making fun of "him" (e.g. Kevin Spacey) and have them killed, as his character is violent and kinda murder-y in the show.
