In retrospect, Lord Voldemort was almost like Tom Riddle's other personality. A persona. Once Riddle got out of Hogwarts, he pretty much deleted Tom Riddle, because he hated his father and who he once believed he was. He was already angry at the world, but once he found out his lineage, he began to hate himself. Thus trying to change who he actually was, by doing all the deviation he caused. He was ashamed of who he thought he was, and re created himself as Lord Voldemort.

I think that Tom Riddle and Lord Voldemort are two different kinds of people that have two separate things on the mind. For Tom riddle is that he wanted to get rid of the part of his past. And for Voldemort is that he wanted to have people view those that are pure blood are better than anybody else because they were the ones that were persecuted first because the Muggles were afraid of magic.

Perhaps a couple or so of the death eaters knew that Voldemort is a half blood, but pretended not to know, or perhaps heard of this but thought it was a rumor/wasn't true. Even if they knew, they clearly dismissed it & saw Voldemort as an exception of the only half-blood they accept/tolerate since he's Voldemort/their master. Bellatrix didn't know that Voldemort was a half blood, until harry told her this, but of course, she didn't believe him and thought he was lying. She became furious when he told her this fact, not believing him, not believing one bit that her beloved master was a half-blood like harry told her. It was just a lie to her, and she refused to believe it. She probably thought Harry said this to her to get to her/make her mad. Even if she would've found out that Harry was telling her the truth, of course she would've been shocked since she wouldn't believe her master, as powerful as he is/was, was a half blood & not a pureblood like her & the rest of his followers. Would she've tried to abandon him or looked down upon him because of him being a half blood? honestly, I think it would be a shock for her at first but despite her extreme pro pureblood beliefs, I think Voldemort would've been an exception for her & would've accepted the fact but wouldn't see him for his blood status but for who he's/who he became into Voldemort, the man she fell in love with.

I don't believe Tom Riddle and Voldemort were 2 literally different people, cause that would just say he had a split personality. But characteristic-metaphorically, as in some stories (movies and series) of someone who suffered amnesia but do remember some things, or rl of veterans who have changed by war, then yes they were different. Realistically now Tom would only b contained inside him but could never b destroyed. He was born as Tom Riddle, lived *"as"* to *"with"* Tom, and died with him still inside.

I think a few people were born that way, the thing with Voldemort was these three very important factors: Anti Social Personality Disorder. Powerful magical ability. High IQ and charisma. If you remove two of those things, namely, the thing that's not a symptom of his brain chemistry. Now, you get somebody who's quite intelligent, clever, quite ambitious, with a very high level of magical power, who's got a unique power, and a personality disorder from imbalanced brain chemistry, allegedly from the love potion but more likely a side effect from his incestuous bloodline, as that's how we got mental illnesses. Put this person inside of an orphanage, with no good role model or person to correct any misbehavior in an effective way, with no resources to handle a child so different from the others. Then put them in a school, inside of the house that breeds hatred. Not because being a slytherin makes you inherently bad, but because those who seek out power are more easily corrupted, and therefore, Slytherin alumni are more likely to be bigots. So you put him, a poor, low class, wearing second hand everything, having second hand everything, screaming poverty, who would not know anything about the world he's entering, not the social aspects no matter how much research he would do before hand. You put this boy, who is already prepped for apathy and sadism, into a group of bigots, who would know he's not one of them, and not a pureblood. He would look like a muggleborn. Unless he revealed his ability. This boy would be very easily swayed to this kind of mentality, because he would center himself as the most important thing, because that's how it's always been for him. He was a freak in the orphanage, out of place, and now he was a freak at school, out of place with nobody like him. Now, he obviously knew how to manipulate, and would have quickly realized that to be the better strategy and that blunt bullying, no that would need to be quiet, and subtle. Then this boy realizes the father he had been hoping was a wizard, was not. He would have searched for the name "Riddle" everywhere and found nothing. Then he would have to turn to his mother, realizing she, in her magical power, would be the one who gave him magic. And she died. Which means he can die, just like anyone else. Not to mention the World War that starts around the same time he's in school, and the London Blitz happening around then as well. He'd have wondered if his father is alive. He'd have wondered why his father had left him. Why, all this time, he never bothered. Did he know about Tom? Of course, then Tom finds out his Dad is the Muggle, and his Dad was alive. Then he would have gone and confronted his father. Tom is very skilled in the mental arts, so seeing into his father's head would be easy. I believe it might not have been instant, as any child at this point would want to know if their father even wanted them. Tom would be faced with a man who thought of him as a mistake, as a freak, and as something he'd rather forget existed or ever happened. This would have enraged Tom and sealed the fates of all parties. I mean, I'm not sure Tom would have let them live anyways, very little could at that point. Tom would have been bothered by his poverty. He would have been bothered by his status. His class. For somebody like him, he hated that he was like that while most of the other Slytherins were either well of, or very well off. Most of the students in the school were well off, compared to Tom. So while another sociopath might be born, and they might be evil, they would not be on the same scale and end up put down, or jailed like any other criminal.

Your point on during the first war the Death Eaters would have been young and not know who Tom Riddle is quite true, however what about Rosie are Nott, crab Goyle, these are all Death Eaters that attended Hogwarts when Tom Riddle was at school so they knew his bloodline they knew he was Half-Blood but yet they still followed him. I think those that knew that he was Half-Blood followed him because of his immense dark magic his immense dark power and they were too afraid of what he would do to them and they were also hugely in an admiration of him so much that they overlooked that he was half blood. There is this assumption that lord Voldemort became disfigured ugly and snake like as a by product of dark magic or making horcruxes. But what if it was intentional, that for as much as he liked positive attention and praise, and his very good looks were admired, he hated it, because he got them from his father, and being good looking was part of who TOM RIDDLE was, so to be Lord Voldemort, he would need to be ugly and twisted instead.

Gosh young Tom is gorgeous in those first few pictures. I was trying to get A.I to create an image of what he would have looked like on the night he had his interview with Dumbledore regarding the Defense Against the Dark Arts position (An older but rougher version of the handsome Tom Riddle, but the snake like traits were becoming apparent if I remember Harry's description during the penseive visit in HBP) but it kept on coming back with pictures that looked nothing like the description. Would you be able to create the right prompts to get it to produce a picture of what he would have looked like that night he hid the Diadem?

I think you're misunderstanding what the term "Pure blood" means in the Wizarding world. It doesn't matter if both of your parents are wizards; what matters is whether there is any muggle blood anywhere in your family. If you have any muggle ancestors at all, then you are NOT a pure blood according to the strict definition espoused by pure blood supremacists like the Blacks and the Malfoys.

@@GamerX51 I think you're wrong. Muggle-born is self explanatory. Half-blood is 1 Muggle-born and 1 "pure-blood" parent. And pure blood is 2 wizarding parents. Those are the three groups outlined in the series. There isn't a 'both my parents are wizards but we probably have some muggle ancestry in there' group. Or at least that's not outlined in the materials. My original point is that if these sacred 28 families are the only pure blood families then it's pretty easy to figure out that Voldemort aka Riddle is at least a half-blood. And Umbridge. And Crabbe & Goyle. And pretty much anyone else. Just check the list.

I've always wondered, Tom Riddle.. or Lord Voldemort.. yes he was intent on destroying half bloods and muggle borns, but I know he claimed muggle lives. I know he controlled the death eaters and he attacked muggle homes and places en mass, and yeah Harry Potter was his only one true enemy that could vanquish him, but at the height of his return when chaos was all around and he was attacking the muggle world as well as the wizarding world.. if Voldemort wanted Harry even more vulnerable than what he was, why didn't he attack the Dursleys? Wouldn't it have made more sense to kill the Dursleys and leave Harry more open to attack? He must have known where Harry was living, he had Supporters everywhere, and if Harry was among muggles that would have been a tempting target.. if Harry was alone like he was as a kid, Voldemort would have had a much easier job on attacks Wouldn't he? I know this is different to the video facts posted but I just thought it'd be something related to the fact that Voldemort was on a cause to cleanse the world of non-pure bloods so.. I was just wondering why he didn't go and do just that. Luna Lovegood once stated if she was Voldemort she'd want Harry as vulnerable as possible.. so.. yeah this is probably going to get dislikes and bad word from the viewers but I'm just stating a word of question.
