Videos that you do are great! You have a common sense manner of explaining & combined with your calm voice it makes it easy to understand the subject matter! Definitely would like to see more of this type of viewer video! I hope you do a W/J pattern video for Eq or Horsemanship! Thank you for taking all the time & effort to teach!

Thank you so much for the great critique. Now that I watched it, I defintely see where it looks rushed. I defintely will work on pausing for a second after each element. The arena is awesome, we are lucky to board there. If you're ever in upstate NY you should defintely visit!! Taser and I will keep practicing. I hope next time other people take advantage of this great opportunity you have us!! Thank you!

Hi Laurel, your videos are great,, I started watching them on training for in-hand trail,, I train alone and would of loved to of sent a video in to be evaluated on my showmanship pattern,, but I'm technically challenged,, not sure if you covered it, but maybe a video on how you film yourself,, I have all the gadgets, but I never get enough in a video to use,, hope to say Hi at the APHA World show someday!!

Unfortunately, video yourself is a lot of practice and messing up! I have a tripod and turn the viewing screen toward me to see how it looks. If you don't have a camcorder, the camera on your smartphone works great! If you make it to World Show, come say hi! I'm always up for saying hello, except when I'm getting ready for a class, you understand ;)

I really planned on sending mine in but one of my horses slipped in the mud in the pasture and broke his leg... So with that and his passing I had a lot on my plate and forgot. I would love to still try to do it though.

Like I said I would love to start but I feel my guy just isnt ready. I got him from the auction, under weight and unhealthy. He was unhandled until I got him. I've got some weight on him and got him gelded and his health is improving. I looked past all the ugliness he had in the auction pen and saw a guy that needed a chance. I have big goals for both him and myself. In all the years I have had horses this little guy has been such a different challenge and we need all the help we can get.
