Love the trail guides. I drove from Philly to Ouray to go over Imogene Pass in my 2020 Toyota 4Runner ORP because I knew I could based on your videos, then I went to Fins and Things the next day and realized how much steeper things are in real life as opposed to seeing them on video, but again, I knew my rig could do it because you showed me. I never would have crossed those off my bucket list if you hadn't showed the way. Thank you, and keep up the good work, we appreciate it.

Hey Roman, a suggestion- why don’t you pack two go-bags that anyone can grab when they go offroading. Put in them: Air compressor Tire repair kit Tow strap Kinetic rope of mid-weight Tree saver strap 3 soft shackles Basic medical kit Military surplus trenching tool Large handle axe Basic like 8-12 in knife with serrated back edge Leatherman Portable allen wrench set in metric and SAE Portable Torx wrench set Work gloves Safety goggles And for your location- a blanket, a couple of those silver emergency blankets, a couple military surplus ponchos, a couple of winter hats and gloves. Put it all in a duffle just long enough to fit the axe. Leave them in the same spot after returning. For you guys constantly in different vehicles, a lot of which you don’t even own, and trying to get out quickly, it would give you everything you need in a grab and go package.

As a noob offroaded, I really like these, because it lets me know the difficulty VISUALLY, not just a subjective "trail rating" fron AllTrails or whatever. I have a 2024 Colorado ZR 2 that has FAR more capability than I do as a driver, so, this is helpful for me to gage the difficulty level seeing the vehicle you guys used. Excellent vid as always, keep 'em coming!

Boring? No way. I love these videos as I live in Scotland where you need a ton of permits and permissions AND be a member of a club (to afford the liability insurance in case you damage property or walkers/ mountain bikers ) . We have spectacular off-roading like this but not to such heights or with such scenery (it rains a lot here!) so it’s great to see how the other half lives with no legal restrictions on access. Keep doing the videos please so I can plan my next USA holiday to Colorado with a rental 4x4.

I enjoy goin to ski, also enjoy spend time in the mountain and RR gave all this and more (and in terms of reliability i must say that it is fairly good so far).

The proper way to off-road a Land Rover with the air suspension is generally to just ride at stock height and only lift it when a specific obstacle requires it. Lifting them with Johnson Rods is also a bad idea, absent spacers like the SYA kit that Lucky 8 sells.

Lifted coils gives you best off road capability and ride off road BUT downside is inner city headroom, highway road handling, fuel economy. LR 3, 4, new defender air suspension works very well. It automatically adjusts height somewhat when get into the rough stuff even on normal height. Use off road height when you need it. There are better options than Johnson rods for that super extended height.

Hey guys- why don’t you use the screw on deflator devices that they sell, and you could just screw them onto all four tires so it would deflate quickly to a set volume? You could have them in your glove box or pocket even..
@Land_Raver2 ай бұрын
Haven't had the best luck with consistency on those devices. Best air down method is get a tire gauge and valve stem tool. Pull the valve stem out, usually 1 second per psi. Check with gauge and screw the stem back in. Fastest and most reliable way to do it.

This trail is at best a 3. Any high clearance vehicle even in stock form should be just fine. That being said I’d still recommend not doing it on street tires. Any mild ATs will do.

I used to own a Range Rover 4.0 in the late 90’s. It had air ride suspension which came in handy because you could raise the vehicle on tough obstacles. I never had any issues with reliability of the air suspension. I don’t know why people talk poorly of air ride. I mean Semi trucks have air ride and can go 1/2 million miles without any issues 😮

@7:17 If you used TrailsOffroad instead of OnX, you'd know that Middle Fork Swan is MUCH harder than Georgia Pass. OnX BUY$ all their data and all their credibility (like making Roman's boat payment). TrailsOffroad's data is all mapped and maintained by contractors, wheels on dirt. AND it's MUCH cheaper.
