Have you heard of the "designed in Canada" Quest (Ridequest) E-bike? Recently I set out on my quest to find the perfect e-bike. After weighing many options and setting my list of requirements, I came up with this one.
- The first requirement was that it would be supported in Canada so I wouldn't be paying duty on any repair parts or servicing.
- The 2nd requirement was that it would go the top speed as allowed.
- Thirdly I wanted one with quality parts, function and comfort.
and so I came up with this competitively priced Quest (Ridequest) Hub motor city bike.
Watch along with me as I show how the bike came right out of the box through to assembly and ready to ride.

Hi. I am hoping you could do me a favour and measure from the ground up to the top of the seat when the seat is at the lowest level as well as ground to top of stem where the seat sits. My wife is 5 feet tall & not sure that this bike will be too big for her or not. Thanks in advance

It’s 29.5” to the top of the seat tube to the ground. I won’t give the seat height as I have a shock absorber seat post and that ads quit a bit to the lowest possible seat height.

Is it a « Bafang » Motor inside ?

There is no name to be seen on the motor, just a serial number so it’s hard to say.

I found the same issue with the light bolt... Way too short. Is it a design flaw?

I wonder if it's some sort of change that didn't get followed through all the way. There are some subtle differences between the latest version of this bike and the photos on the web site. .... so far my light has stayed put without the washers. ... I have almost 50 km's so far.

@@DonMPhotography Oh ok, that's good to know. I suspect the same thing, there are some minor differences. I am just worried about safety without the washers. I am afraid the bolt might fall off after riding some distance. I will search for a longer bolt.

How do you like the bike so far? I have the same one but haven't put it together yet.

I’ve got over 400km on it already this year … yes in Manitoba! I’ve driven it on snow packed walking paths, I’ve driven it on the Red River winter walking path and of course on pavement and gravel walking paths. The tires seem to be pretty good at finding traction. I have to say you can easily pedal this bike if you want to. If I set it to assist level 2, I can drive it for days. And that is because I am mostly peddling above the speed the motor kicks on. I have even been able to pedal it above the 32kph. The motor stops helping you probably around 30-31kph. If you are over 6 feet and raise the stem too high, it can get a little wobbly feeling but I think that is just bike mechanics. The bottom line is that it is a lot of fun. … always match the assist level to the speed you are riding and until you are used to it, always take off at a low assist level. You don’t want the drive system pushing you into a tree or an intersection because you’re not ready for it. I tend to ride the brakes if I’m doing a u-turn or turning onto a street as the brake switch stops the motor from kicking in. (Looks likes it’s times for me to do another video. :-)

@@DonMPhotography Hey Don, I was wondering if you were able to unlock the bike's speed to go over 32? there seems to be a code but I cannot get any info on it to go further. thanks

@@roozbehbey there is a place to set the top speed. I actually reduced mine to 25km/h 😅 to save on battery and not steal my Strava pb’s. The manual says it will quit working if you set it higher. I don’t know if that is true unless it all of a sudden draws too much current?? but I didn’t try. If you look up the manual for a C300? Bafang display, I think you’ll find some additional instructions for the display. Like how to reset the trip odometer and how to access walk mode.
