Picking a favourite Doors song almost as difficult as a favourite Pink Floyd song, there are too many good ones.

▪Hi Sue .. I distinctly remember listening to this as a kid on my tranny radio in bed on a rainy night .. It had that sort of trance-like atmosphere, and I found myself paying attention to it .. But I can't say that I was really liking it .. The rainy night outside combined with the stormy affects on the record were disconcerting enough .. But when it got to the part about the killer on the road with his mind squirming like a toad and what he might do to us, it really started creeping me out 😱.. And so, whenever it comes on, it takes me back to that time .. It's still a pretty compelling record, but I can properly appreciate it's musicality now and enjoy it.

@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, I can totally see why this song would creep kids out. The feel of the song is definitely haunting sounding and combine that with the storm and some of the lyrics and it is scary sounding. It could have been featured in a thriller movie haha 😵. But I still love it...not sure what that says about me haha 🤗💗

@@playitagainsue Well Sue, I reckon it says that you clearly went over to the "dark side" at an early age ! .. Maybe you could have been another Elvira 🤣🤣

I think the Doors were making a movie around 69 or 70 but it was never completed I think the footage of Jim is from that

Legendary song and band but they just aren't my thing. This songs has some cool moments instrumentally but for the most part I feel unsatisfied listening. A few months ago, I watched a live concert of the Doors and just couldn't get into them. That's just the way if goes, I guess.

@JeromeDukes Hey Jason, that totally happens. Sometimes we just don't connect with some bands 🥰
