This is getting too crazy, Clint. You need to get Vance, Ridgid, and yourself in the ring for a triple threat ladder match. Whoever climbs the ladder and reaches the Ridgid fan (mounted in one of the 4 ways Vance missed) will decide the outcome. Ridgid had every right to point out, no matter how ridiculous it may seem, the correct "10 mounting points" of their fan, since the "King of tools" in his usual sarcastic & demeaning tone didn't understand how to operate the tool to it's full potential right out if the box. I quit watching VCG because of the arrogance of the reviews, got to be too much. More down to earth & realistic views on this channel...

I’m confused, they said that the hooks (as a pair) are two different mounting points, and then a bungee cord as another, does the fan come with the bungee cord? Do zip ties count as an 11th? I’m not understanding how they hit back based on seeing this video.

Put Velcro on, ad magnet and stick to your tool box, use a rope pass it over a hook and tie it to the handle, drill a new set of hooks and hang it between to clothes lines, use tie wrap and fix it around a balcony railling, The main question is how many inches aparts are normally place vertical rebar or if you only have # 3 ,rebar will it still work?

To be fair that was the first place I saw the rebar mounting (or counting hooks twice 🙄). The Home Depot website only shows your usual mounting options, and the fan isn't even on Ridgid's site. WTH? It sort of seem like Ridgid needed to get called out.

It's the same crap as service centers counting checking the oil filter and drain plug on their "21 point inspection" when you bring a vehicle in for an oil change. Sure, it's there, but you're counting something twice just to make it sound like it's a better value

Rigid’s video was so dumb. Like im not a fan VCG but hes right. You cant count mounting it on a 2x4 2 different ways as 2 different mounting solutions. Its the exact same but going against gravity a different way. And the bungee cords was just pure laziness. I do that with my Milwaukee. The rebar got me the most lol. I would get kicked off a job if I removed rebar caps to set up my fan.

I recently bought a rigid octane half inch drive cordless impact wrench cuz 1. it was a great deal for the kit and 2. I was stupid when I bought my first cordless impact wrench a couple years ago and didn't look on the KZbin for reviews. Not a rigid Fanboy by any means. I have all sorts of different power tools through my dad through the years. I have no problem with rigid calling this guy out and showing him what he couldn't find. he asked them to do it, so they did nothing wrong with that. Only thing I don't like about some of the channels here is people need to disclose in the beginning of videos whether or not they receive the tool for free or they purchased it with their own money or proceeds from channel.

By the way I'm new to power tools I didn't find a deep love for just working with tools until I was in my mid to late 30s I'm 37 now. I just got my first set of brand new my tools to call my tools in the rigid subcompact drill and impact kit and all I got to say is go rigid I love them. And I've never in my life had or even felt a desire to have a line of power tools that I considered this is the line I commit to this is my line will rigid got the green light and I think my father for that because he happens to work at home Depot and I didn't even know anything about rigid I was actually looking into Craftsman and I'm glad I chose Ridgid.

@@IMPACT-NATION yeah I'm not sure they make a subcompact hammer drill which I would probably lean towards the full size hammer drill like you got so it's very possible that I may end up with the larger impact driver as well. the one in the subcompact kit doesn't have any mode settings but the variable trigger is extremely variable like you can get that thing to the slowest creep imaginable so once you get used to the trigger you're in full control and it hasn't failed in doing anything I even put a 6 in lag bolt through a 4x4 with it without any issue. I recently refurbished an old Black & Decker Firestorm table saw and there were some bolts in the miter gauge that had rust welded into the thing so bad I couldn't get them out for nothing the full size brushed Craftsman 20 volt drill I had couldn't get them nor could the older Ryobi 18 volt drill that belong to my dad. After I bought the Ridgid kit I went at those bolts with that subcompact impact driver and it busted them right out. Literally the thing has managed to help me finish jobs that I couldn't get done with the weaker tools I had. Ridgid's tools feel like high quality tools the materials that they're made out of they don't feel like cheap plastic tools. somebody gave me a drill Master drill yesterday that still uses nicad batteries and the plastic housing on this thing just once you put your hand on it if you've ever had your hand on a quality power tool immediately this thing feels like garbage. I would probably not have gotten into the ridgid line when they were still on the octane because I don't think the quality of tool was what it is today. Thank you Ridgid for stepping up the game.
