Riding on US Hwy 64 between Murphy and Franklin, NC on my way to Hickory, NC. Beautiful day for a ride through the western NC Mountains. #bmwf750gs #bmwmotorrad #UHwy64

It is some pretty riding up in that area. Blue Ridge Parkway is always a good road. 😎👍

NC, GA and TN have some of the best roads in the country. Route 28 in NC is amazing as well from Bryson down to Franklin. Nice video! Thanks for sharing!

They sure do. We are lucky to live so close to these great motorcycle roads. I’ll have to try Rt 28 from Bryson to Franklin. Thx for the recommendation!

Yep. That's a nice route. From Murphy to the Highlands. Then take 28 to war woman Rd back into Clayton. Or 76. Both great riding. Stay safe

I plan on riding a lot of roads in that area soon and sharing the videos. Thanks for the tips and watching!

Beautiful! Looks like I will have to add US Hwy 64 to my ride list. I agree, being retired has its benefits! In the next few months I will be moving from Lexington, SC to near Asheville, NC in the Hendersonville, NC area. That will put me in some great riding areas.

Wow. You will be in a perfect place to get on some great roads. Hwy 64 goes right through Hendersonville and you can go east to Lake Lure or west towards Brevard, Highlands, Cashiers and past some great waterfalls. You can also go north on Hwy 276 out of Pisgah Forest near Hendersonville right to the Blue Ridge Pkwy. I’ve ridden a lot in that area and you are in for a treat! Thanks for watching.

Looked like a great trip and 64 is a great road. The weather should have been fantastic for your and Stoney’s ride. Hope you made it through today dry. Enjoy!

We had a great ride Thursday from Hickory to Lake Lure. Weather was great and we had lunch in a restaurant overlooking the lake. We will reschedule our West Virginia trip for later but it was great to get out for this short trip and visit with my great friend, NC Stoney. Thanks for watching.

Looks like a nice trip! I've got a 2021 F750GS I bought new, set up pretty similar to yours. Madstad windshield, BMW top case (which I also love), plus Barkbuster hand guards. You might consider those also. I ride in Michigan and adding the Barkbusters to cut the wind plus the heated grips makes those cool day rides more enjoyable.

I’ve considered the bark buster hand guards and I’ll probably put them on before next winter. I love the bike so far. I’ve got some more additions to it I’ll be sharing soon on upcoming videos. I really love the Madstad windshield I put on it. Just a great bike and you can never go wrong with a BMW GS if you’re looking for an Adventure bike. Thanks for watching!

Hi George, I just bought a 2023 HD Heritage classic and I thought of your video when you chose it over the Road King. I see you bought an adventure bike those bikes are really cool. However, I’m only 5’6 to short for such a bike. Well enjoy the ride just wanted to say that I was thinking of you when buying my Heritage. Take care!

I love riding blue ridge parkway, 28, and 441. Looks like really nice weather. We rode up to Devils Courthouse on Blue ridge parkway less than a month ago and got caught in a snowstorm. Anyway I’m wondering how comfortable your bike is for long riding. I have a Honda CB500x and I start getting back pain and leg cramps after about 6 hours. Love your channel. Keep the content coming. I’m happy about your new bike but miss the heritage.

The BMW F750 GS is very comfortable for me. It’s a little bigger than the Honda CB500X, Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Triumph Tiger 660. I rode those smaller bikes and loved the handling and price point of those smaller bikes, but I knew I wouldn’t be comfortable on longer rides so I chose the slightly bigger 750 GS and I’m glad I did. I will need to change my seat be it’s a little firmer than I like, but that’s my only complaint so far. Thanks for watching!

I can relate to having a repair in addition to paying for maintenance. The catalytic converter came loose from its welds and was causing some serious rattling noise. The options i had was to replace the head pipe with an OEM or go with an aftermarket one. I went with the vance and Hines power duels, plus it was 300 dollars less than what harley wanted for their OEM head pipe. I had my independent mechanic due the work sense harley's labor cost is ridiculous. The thing is I would kept the original parts on and saved some money, but that wasn't an option. Retirement is the best and I'm glad your enjoying it on two wheels.

Didn't you initially ride a Suzuki? then Harley? Now BMW. Why did you get rid of your Harley?
@GARamblinManАй бұрын
I really love almost all motorcycles and I like trying them all out. I sold the Harley because I knew I would not ride it that much anymore after getting the new BMW and it was still worth a good amount. I sold it for more than I paid for the new BMW so it was a good financial decision for me. I would have liked to have kept it, but having two bikes in the garage just isn't my thing (until of course I decide I want something else...ha!) Thanks for watching!
