Did my first ride of the year this morning. 70 miles or so down the mountain, in to Tennessee, by the river, to the dam, then back up the mountain an home through Alabama. The first ride of the year though, ugh. Besides remembering how to ride a motorcycle, my riding pants wont button, helmet is dusty, had a birds nest in it this time last year, my riding gloves have grown legs an walked off, bikes running like a bike thats been parked for months, about 30 miles in my butts hurting, my backs hurting, an I realize I forgot my earplugs so my Tinnitus is going to be bad the rest of the day. Come home, sit down, click on your video an see the same sun through the trees at the start of my ride, just to think how pretty that is on camera but it kinda hurts in real life, an I was glad to get to the point in my ride where I turned north, instead of east. Oh the joys of seasonal riding. lol Now to search the house for some headphones an those runway anthropomorphic gloves.

I know the feeling of trying to find everything I put away before my first ride. I always put my stuff in a place I know I will remember it snd then I forget. The joys of growing old. Sounds like a great day anyway to get out. It’s going to be in the 80’s tomorrow so I’ll be out again on a Monday. Retirement life is good. Thanks for watching and sharing your story! Ride safe.

Wonderfully put together video, watched it three times. Noticed you were running in 3rd & 2nd gear most of the time, could tell from bike angle there must have been some good curves there too. The suspension on your bike must be good as the video was very clean. Ride safe & often.

Thanks for the compliments. I was in 2nd and 3rd gear mostly because I was just taking it nice and easy on this road. Great curves that are more sweepers than really tight hair pin turns but I love it. The bike has a lot of ground clearance and you can really lean it over quite easily. Just a blast to ride. Love me a good tree-lined road! We still have a few of those left in my neck of the NC woods. They are being knocked down regularly, I'm afraid. New neighborhoods everywhere. :( I've only been back on two wheels these past 7 years, and some of my early favorite roads are already overrun by traffic from subdivisions and other construction.

I moved further out of Atlanta a few years ago but development is creeping into my area now. For now it’s pretty rural with lots of great roads like this but I’ll probably have to move again soon if I want to avoid suburbia. Thanks for watching and I’m still learning on this Insta360 camera.
