3ds Max CAT (Character Animation Toolkit) is an animation system inside Max that offers a lot of useful features.
If you are interested in CAT and why is it (in my opinion) better then biped or regular max bones, be sure to subscribe to the channel or watch other videos and tutorials I have already posted.

Tutorials are great speed is not really an issue when you can stop and rewind video you talk clearly and almos everything is understandable. One huge problem is you use keyboard shortcuts which is amazing for you to speed up things but not so great for a viewer.. It would be great if you called them out or put text on the video it self - of what you pressed :PP Good luck with works.

I noticed when you were creating the iktargets, for the first one you selected the forearm first, clicked create iktarget and then clicked on the hand. For the second one you didnt select the forearm, you selected the hand, clicked on create iktarget and then clicked the hand. why?

This is a question that's been dogging me: Does the shape of the CAT bone geometry affect its envelope of influence? Or is it just to help you visualize the character motion? Like, how much effort should you really put into modeling geometry like the head and ribcage?

Can I create the IK targets for the hands after skinning the model?

Yes you can. IK targets don't affect skinning.

Select pelvis and its chidlrens. Then right click and open properties. Then you have to change By Layer to By Object and then you can click on Display as Box.

My figure has a height of 2 m, but the CATunit ratio is 0.02. It that a problem and how can i fix it without making my figure 100 m?

You probably don't have global units of 3ds Max setup correctly. When you are opening the file of Hiroshima from my website, don't rescale the scene. If you didn't, then I don't know what could be the problem.

It's a video, you can pause it, put it in slow mo, download it and do more things that you are not used to
