You all are truly an inspiration! I've always wanted to retire, buy a sailboat, and travel the coastlines. Thanks for sharing your experience, it has been an honor to watch and gain a better understanding of what my future holds. Everyone on Delos past and present are all awesome in my opinion, but Brian, i'm sure you must get this all the time,... You are exceptionally amazing to watch, listen too, and learn from. Thank you for keeping my dream alive! Happy sailing, I can't wait for episode 63!

Well I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for inspiring me to someday get my own boat. Thanks for making me spend all my time on Craigslist and YachtWorld looking at used sailboats. Thanks for sending me down a path that requires I educate myself on a wide variety of subjects. Thanks for making me rethink what I really want. Thanks for giving all us land lovers a taste of what real freedom is. Lastly, thank you for giving me something to look forward too every two weeks. In a crazy world where Kardashians are popular, it is nice to see genuine people sharing true reality! You guys Rock! Merry Christmas!

Having watched all the 60+ videos more than once, I thought I would find these rig replacement videos boring, but not the case at all. I guess I am hooked now and vicariously feel like part of the crew. Very interesting can not deny. Thumbs up, way up, thank you.

Working on your own rig (whatever it is) is always more satisfying than letting someone else do the work. Plus, you know where the problem lay, and possibly how to fix it it quicker. I have always marveled at the old sailors of the wooden vessel days hauling their vessels onto the beach and rolling them over to get at damage.

Great video! I like all your videos. But, I especially enjoyed the technical nature of this one. If it doesn't bore your subscribers too much I'd like to see more technical information about cruising - how do you navigate; how do you monitor the weather; how do you trim the sails, etc. I have always been impressed with Brian's ability to manage the technical elements of cruising. Please share more. Thanks!

All these videos are so addicting to watch...and after watching enough of them, the Delos family feels like family to me, even though they have no idea who I even am. Such a good job on all the videoing and editing...it feels like being there without the smells, heat, problems to solve and hot sweaty work...but watching the process is very entertaining. I feel your pain with the heat...after many trips being deployed to the Middle East, working 12-14 hr days...you just do what you've got to do, to get done what you've got to get done...and hydrate somewhere in there as much as possible.

Thank you SV/Delos! Perfect timing for me as I also own SV/CloudStreet, a 2001 Super Maramu. Currently in the Bahamas and getting ready to climb my mast for the first time to replace some lights. Your close up of the top of the mast gave me a great view of the block & tackle so now I'm sure which line I'll use as the main and which for the safety. Just had my 14 yr old standing rigging replaced by Nance & Underwood in Fort Lauderdale this past June. That was so interesting to see the shop at Rolly Tasker and the swaging process. We love your videos and look forward to crossing paths someday. Merry Christmas & Safe travels!

Once again you've published a wonderful video that not only is entertaining but educational as well. Although I've sailed for forty years and worked for a sailboat dealer as a rigger while in college, I had never heard of Rolly Tasker. What an impressive company; I checked out their website and although I support local sail makers, I'll definitely ask for a quote the next time I need a sail or rigging replacement. Your reminder to check rigging was great as well. And now for a confession: I'm not a financial contributor to Delos because I own and sail my boat on a tight budget but you're dedication and professionalism in sharing your adventures and challenges continues to tug at my wallet. One more note: it's Christmas morning here and it was wonderful finding your new video...your timing was perfect....thanks for the gift.

It amazes me how absolutely reliant you are on electrics. I realize it allows you to sail a bigger boat, but we lived on a Columbia 26 MKII for 15 years and I chose the boat because for my wife it wouldn't be an overwhelming challenge. We had the room of a 30' boat in a 26' package. And whether it was sails or anchor, she could muscle things through. Don't get me wrong. I'm not being critical. And I'm not anti-technology by any means.
