Just was reading “Hit Down Dammit!”, the author makes the point that you hit the ball with the clubhead, not the handle. Pulling the handle just gets the clubhead stuck behind the handle, forcing pushes. The more you move the swing toward the toes and fingers, the more fun the game is. I especially love the third intuition on the weight shift.

I like the way this concept incorporates a familiar athletic move from many other sports ... applying it consistently should not be as difficult because of that long-term muscle memory. I will soon see. Compressing the golf ball has always been challenging for me (15-handicap)...so I wonder if this will help in that key area that separates the scratch golfer from my assorted chaos on the course. Will this 'right arm throw' also help with back spin on irons and chip shots? Also.. do you have a consistent go-to swing thought for the .8 of a second? Or have you reached the point of entering the 'zone' where you can just think of anything on Earth (or just stay with a blank nothingness) and it doesn't affect your swing? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the video. I like the concept of integrating a simple physical action into my swing, but how do you prevent an early and steep delivery when throwing at the ball ? Wouldn't it work better to throw/ release out toward the target?

What about the left hand pulling habit? How do you get rid of that?
