Same. During open gyms my coach had me play right side and sometimes middle. He has me switch thr positions from time to time, but I think my main position is middle and my backup is right

Video suggestion: improve court vision when attacking. Some players have such great field of vision even while mid air. If you're supposed to keep your eye on the ball, when can do you take a peek at the other side? Can I improve peripherals?

Hi! As always awesome job! I know that someone (probably a lot of people) suggested a 'tooling the block' video and I suppose you're going to cover wide range of topics (hitting the block so it goes out, searching the fingers in high block etc.), but maybe consider adding a word or two about hitting the ball back of the block. It's common (strangely common lately in the international plays) 'bounce' the ball back from the block so it comes back to your side in the place you desire it to be and you can get another action on your side. But it seems very tricky as it sometimes ends with (for example) the middle on the other side redirecting the ball down into your court so I suppose that has something to do with strength of the hit and/or spin and maybe some other stuff. If you'd look into that matter and explain by the way of (eventual) making of tooling the block video I'd really appreciate it!

Can you do one on opposite (right hitter) defense as opposite being back court? Or right back defender, when opponent hit through 4?

coach Donny, if during a game our blockers do not reach to the attacker of the opposite team so as to block the ball and help the defenders take their right position in the court, then where does (a libero for example) have to be in order to make a successful defense? I thought that, generally, the blockers are like funnels which help defenders find the gaps in the block and line up to them in case the attacker chooses to hit there. But if there is no block, where do the defenders have to line up to?

Hi coach, just wondering why when you transitioned to play line defense you were playing so far back? It doesn't look like you can get many tips and most people I play with would bounce line or it would atleast be not that deep. Wouldn't standing at the 12 or 13 foot line be better? If a ball does go deep you can use hands, if they bounce then you're right there to take it, and a tip could be easily covered. And come to think of it, wouldn't your deep be covered by middle back?

Not saying you are wrong, as we all have different ways of coaching - is there a reason why you tell your line defender to take their first step with the outside foot? I have always taught inside foot so our hips are open up to the court. Taking a step with your outside foot will open your hips away from the court.... thoughts? Have seen it taught both ways but every coach has a reason to teach each skill a certain way. Thanks!
