Sorry to hear that...they are bit fussy plant. I also tried many different potting soil mix, they were blooming but I wasn't satisfied with the result. And finally, this potting soil mix works the best. Wish you all the best!

Thanks for sharing comprehensive information on begum bahar, have tried growing it dozens of times but failed, most probably it is because of the weather, because I have seen it growing merrily without any care in the hills

You are most welcome and thank you for your feedback! Hills..that's something new to me and I haven't seen this plant in Hilly area in my place here. I am from Guwahati and Meghalaya is near to us, it's almost hilly. Haven't seen anywhere in last few years..Anyway, it's a bit fussy plant..he he..I also had to try many different potting soil mix, shifted them here and there many times..and finally! Growth is very slow and that is why we get lots of issues...

I tried growing this plant 2 times but sadly didn't work well after a period. Like this plant very much and still wish to grow. Well, I have seen this plant being grown in quite big sizes on ground in several places on my family vacation to Wayanad in Kerala perhaps in month of Nov/ Dec., perhaps hilly weather there suits it a lot.

Thank you for sharing! I tried everything to get rid of the yellow/brown leaves on my Tibouchina EXCEPT moving it out of direct sunlight. Now I will do that :-D

Can it be propagated by seeds too?

Sir, other than respectfully following your tips, we need to send regular prayers to our plants and touch them daily with our clean hands and bless them to bloom and flourish. I follow this practice and keep an eye on them on regular daily basis to ensure they are safe and in tact. Thank you

Curious if anyone has a suggestion as to why my tibouchina are not producing flowers...beautiful green leaves and the plants are over 3 feet tall, but not a single bud? I have tried fertilizer but have not been successful...any help is appreciated.

Sir how to grow begam bhahar from cutting❤❤
@GardeningUpbeat2 ай бұрын
You can take any sofwood cuttings (new growth) and for the medium sand can be used. I don't have any video yet but process is similar to other plants. For example, you can check out my video about Bougainvillea cuttings where I have provided many different options and here it is - kzbin.info/www/bejne/majck6KnqrVoe8U
