You are such a kind soul. My regular shearer was busy, so I contacted a company in Ohio. The guy was so rude to me and my sheep. He blasted crude music, smoked inside the barn, and jerked my sheep around. He kept saying how unhealthy my Hampshire cross sheep were, I was on the verge of tears because I treat my sheep like they are my childen. He quit after 7 1/4 sheep. Yep, he walked out with one sheep only 1/4 of the way finished. There were still 30 to go. As it turns out, he found another job that day with Merino wool sheep. I called my vet in tears asking if she thought my sheep were unhealthy. She said that I have the healthiest sheep in the county and she knows how loved they are.

Can you report that kind of stuff. That's like having your yard guy, roofer, farrier quit half way through to do a yard, roof, horses, he thinks are better, WTH! Something ethically wrong with that. Breach of contract to me.

@@susannesteinbock1639no it was their fault. I get things happen but one of those things shouldn't be allowing your animals who depend on you to get neglected to this extent.

I really see now why Cammy keeps a hand over the pizzle when he's shearing fast. When there is a rhythm, it would be easy to forget it was a wether and not a ewe. Such an an amazing accomplishment to rescue that boy from his cocoon of matted fiber. I hope the family's life becomes more settled so they can enjoy life and such beautiful sheep with less stress for everyone.
