Gilda should not have ever entered Sparafucile's house at all when the thunderstorm struck in the finale act. At least she should have waited out the storm, or at least, go to the Duke's house instead, but I think Gilda was tricked due to the storm getting worse - she wanted to go inside to avoid the storm, but as she got inside, she went into the trap of Sparafucile, and gets fatally stabbed as the thunderstorm reaches its climax.

Just because there is a sexist character in a story doesn't make the story sexist though
