It's ironic because Tolkien did include strong and powerful females in his work, leaders, women who were even feared by the powerful men ruling the kingdoms. The real Galadriel was spoken of in hushed tones. Not because they feared her kicking in their door and cutting their heads off, but because she held power and magic they didn't understand. A woman shockingly went into battle and killed the Wraith King, but that wasn't good enough for Amazon writers. No, we need to pretend it was totally normal for females to be warriors and there was nothing at all surprising about her dressing up in a man's armor and going to war.

Well, ackshually... 🤓 Tolkien did say that orcs reproduced "in the manner of the Children of Illuvatar" i.e. they reproduced by mating and having kids like men and elves, so there must have been orc women who had babies, but he never specified they had traditional family units. Perhaps they were bred captive in litters or whatnot, and raised en masse. Not that I'm defending this trash adaptation - it's F-tier garbage and I bet they didn't know the above quote. They clearly just wanted to humanise the orcs, because normalising evil is what they're all about.

In The Silmarillion it is written “Orcs multiply in the manner of the Children of Ilúvatar.” and that is the elves and men. So, yes orcs have sex and orc babies does exist even though he never mentions babies. And in both The Hobbit and LOTR, Tolkien writes of the orc Bolg and his father Azog. And if it is a father there probably is a mother.

Bolg having a father doesn't mean there are female orcs, nor babies. Tolkien said orcs are corrupted elves. Then he had troubles solving the lifespan problem bcs he didn't want forever living orcs. Then he wrote about corrupted men, but had troubles solving the first age problem. Then he tried with fallen Maiar, but wasn't satisfied either (obviously). And then he died without ever answering this question. So well... Let's put this unsolved problem in a show, shall we Amazon? Why are you spreading nonsense alongside this horrible company?
