Freaking awesome! People are really doing good work with these mods! I tried to play the Sega CD version, but the copy I got from FuncoLand was broken. Oops. I wonder if there are any missing lines, here…

There are a few glitches here and there as the ability to support Sega CD voices in the MS-DOS version is still in the alpha phase. There is also a bit of effort required to get it all up and running at this early stage. However, I managed to complete the entire DOS game with the Sega CD voices so that is promising!

So, I think I've gone through the audio enough now that I'm fairly confident that most of the bugs are gone. And I've also added a tool to clean up the audio, removing the audio clicks and pops that appear. (I'm unsure if that's just a fault with the conversion of the Sega PCM, or if the actual hardware prevents the defects.) As far as missing lines, there are quite a few (along with several small changes to what's said, vs what's in text). But for the most part, the base game is there with the audio.

@@Nytegard Amazing work and very much appreciated!

I do remember that the Sega CD version cuts the date night short, even though the cut bits show nothing more than the two of them cuddling up in underwear.

@@Crowley91367/2502 dialogs are voiced. But it's not really that bad. Your inventory, for example, isn't voiced, even on the Sega CD. And a lot of the dialogs are around the line of "You can't use this on that" for your inventory. Second, usable objects don't have descriptions in the Sega CD version, such as your sink or shower head. On the PC though, they do have descriptions. Some small things are missing as well on the Sega CD version, such as there's no ammo clip, and there's a little bit more interactivity in the DOS version. Finally, I think they just also wanted to save on excess dialog. Such as the crazy guy who screams Doom all the time gives like 4 different warnings on the PC, whereas he only has one warning in the Sega CD version. Or Karyn has 2 lines where she says "Is there anything you need" the first time vs "Is there anything else you need" afterwards, and on the Sega CD version, she just says the latter all the time. I tried manually editing the audio together to see if I could create the former, but because of the way she speaks, there was no way to get that to sound natural. So, it comes down to a choice of, do you want to put in voices that don't match the dialog? Realistically though, running through the game multiple times, there were only about 50-100 instances of dialog that's missing. That's only about 3-7% of dialog that should be voiced but isn't, but keep in mind, you're not going to see all of them in a single playthrough.

Awww heck yeah! I had been hoping this would happen someday somehow.

They need to make a movie out of this and create a reboot prequel or sequel in open world gameplay. Dynamix sold to Sierra which then sold to vivendi which was bought by Ubisoft so it's up to Ubisoft to recreate this game. It's like mixture of blade runner and equalizer

I had this on saga-cd. I was stumped for weeks trying to figure out how to turn on the computer. It was a single-pixel switch I just couldn't find. This seems to have all the gameplay cut out.

The original MS-DOS version of the game never had voice acting and it was text only. This is the original MS-DOS version but now updated to have the Sega CD voices. The main aim of this video is to show this rather than the gameplay.

@@SierraArtGamesThere's voice acting? Isn't this game made by Dynamix who created Stellar 7? Why do you put it under Sierra?
@SierraArtGames19 күн бұрын
@@jawarakf The game was made by Dynamix and Sierra On-Line was the publisher of the game. There is a small easter egg at 1:17. The name of the bouncer is "ARREIS" which is "SIERRA" reversed.

@@SierraArtGamesthanks, I didn't know that. Any idea why sierra could go bankrupt and procured by companies that didn't do much back then?

This game is nice, but is it really just 15 minutes long? What a waste of money, I would be so damn disappointed If I had bought it back then. Thankfully we have roms these days, so it doesn't hurt the wallet.
@warrmalaski857020 күн бұрын
It's longer, they cut out all the gameplay and bad endings. Like being eaten by sewer rats or electrocuting your self trying to run a wiretap.

This game requires lots of MB size HDD space back then with 7 floppy disks and comes with walkthrough hint book considered premium at its time in 1991. Bigger than police quest 2.
