That synchronized headbanging though. hahaha. Can't say I've been around since they started. I actually discovered them by chance when one of their songs came on my Pandora station. That was maybe 2 weeks before Unimagine came out. My hype for this album is unreal (and maybe a bit unhealthy.) I'm sure others on here can relate. I don't just dig HLH's music because it's great music, I dig it because their music is intelligent. Their music has relevance, weight, and meaningful purpose with every vocal, riff, and drop. I honestly think these guys deserve more recognition.
@bradwilliams89308 жыл бұрын
I can relate 100percent. HLH has really grown and deserves to he recognized as the artists they are. it was depressing to see new romantics not even make triple js top 100 but that doesn't mean they aren't good. they don't need fame. they've said it in countless interviews. they just want to inspire and to be heard. Well I can say as a singer of a band they have definitely inspired me. the way their songs flow and go from fast and heavy to slow and melodic is amazing. it's hard making music like that. this album is going to be my #1 of this year and beyond. I don't think any other band has made me this happy and hyped. Dissonant forever.

@certainmisterbrick8 жыл бұрын
+Milo Terrabuca it's all good. I follow too. hahaha. I'm stoked this video and song is out.
@gabe17gamer8 жыл бұрын
+Milo Terrabuca I agree. I don't think they have ever created one rushed or badly thought out song- the experimental and unique consistency lyrically and musically is just something else, and it's what seperates HLH from other bands. Combine Trenton's poetically written lyrics with brilliantly composed well thought out instrumentals involving experimental features such as the string quartets and keyboards in this song and you get something which is truly beautiful. They manage to combine soft reverb lead guitar parts that send shivers down your spine with heavy headbanging breakdowns that make you break your neck in such a brilliant way that it's hard not to love them. I've only been here since I Am came out tbh so I'm a newbie, and I'm only 14 so I think I'm a newbie to this genre in general but I truly love this band and completely agree with you.
@csiiir8 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. The only difference is that I know them since 2011, and back then, well, they played Lion Skin and This ain't no place for animals. Kind of. But is was love at first hearing, altough back then my English was far worse than now.

Such a "colourful" song, loved the black and white visual, loved the lyrics... This song has some interesting references and similarities with some of their older songs: Colourblind: "Between the black and white, naming every shade of grey has left us colourblind" I am: "I won't sink into the sea of grey, I won't melt into the choir of angels" Developments: "Between the black and white, where everything goes grey, and everything's unsaid, undone, and the negative bleeds away to reveal the memory that we've waited so long for" Cannot wait for Dissonants!

I've been keeping up with HLH before they were signed to Rise, and to me they've always seemed to have a little bit of metalcore influence in there. The more they've come along, the more they've brought that out, and I think it's a really cool thing to witness. It's definitely kept me interested. They're getting grittier and grittier with each release. Really good song here.

I just recently found this band, but they're one of my favorites already. One reason I really like them, other than their sound, is how they kinda break that rock stereotype. You know, the dark, "I hate myself and everything around me" stereotype. In the video, yeah, they're all wearing black, but during their concerts and stuff (from what I've seen here on the 'Tube), they just wear "regular" clothes. And they're songs, whether they are or not (depending on the song) sound uplifting. They're not down and angry, like most rock songs are, or at least thought to be. It's just cool to find something different.

A sight for weary eyes The colours of the twilight rise and bridge the great divide We are all for none and none for all We are the sickness and the symptom, and the cure We are all for none and none for all We are the sickness and the symptom, and the cure So close your eyes, let the colours fly And hide from the noise outside We're colourblind from the black and white But we've never burned so bright Set fire to the sun Let the colours run So close your eyes, let the colours fly We're colourblind from the black and white So close your eyes, let the colours fly And hide from the noise outside We're colourblind from the black and white But we've never burned so bright But we've never burned so bright
