Good advice with letting em go. Another reason to let them go is that small fish are much lower on the food chain, so It is much more efficient because less energy gets lost in transmission from sun to plant to baitfish to your dinner.

Didn't think of that. Great point. I appreciate you taking the time to share your insight.

What's up Spence!! Fellow River Rat and avid Catfish Slayer. I was wondering if you could take some time to possibly answer a few questions about fishing for Kitties. First I'd like to say awesome channel your videos have me cracking up laughing all the time. The added subtitles and random stuff you say during your videos are a classic. Now to the fishing questions. First what would you recommend when fishing for Flatheads/ Shovelheads as far as the best times to fish for them as well as some live baits that tend to work the best? Second question is what gear should one use to land the Big kitties like the hook size, the LB line you use, float or bottom rigging, Rod Length, and the style Reel that should be used whether that be Spinning or Bait caster? Third and final question is when do feel like the best time to fish for catfish from Channel to Flathead and Blue? Thanks for making such entertaining videos and taking the time to respond to each of your comments on every video. I look forward to hearing back from you and the suggestions you have for catching more Catfish or Landing that One Big kittie.

Wow, you are in Iowa. I didn't realize the fishing was this good in Iowa. What is the best area to live and go fishing every day weather permitting for a retired person? I have done a lot of fishing in Minnesota. Nowadays I prefer catfish and stripper fishing. Out here in CA. where I live almost all, we have here is trout. I grew up on the beaches of Southern California and grew up fishing in the ocean. Now I live in the Lake Tahoe area of Northeastern CA. high in the mountains. We have cats and strippers in the lower elevations but the crowds are a problem. Thanks for your outstanding content. You totally know how to fish and make videos!!

Out of all the Catfish species, I think flatheads are best tasting ones, I really never cared about channel cats, to eat that is, they just never tasted that good to me, no matter what body Of water they come out of. Even the farm raised channels ain’t no count, now Blues, I haven’t eat too many of them, if any at all, at least I don’t recall. Now Bullheads are pretty tasty! Their almost as good as a Flathead. A Flathead has that real nice white flaky meat, kinda like a Bass ( Black Bass or largemouth). Anyways, good deal Spence! Keep on keeping on brother man! Man that last one you caught here, he was full of piss and vinegar wasn’t he?! lol! Damn I see why, nice, real nice!

U won a few times but lost many more and the weight thing, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Dinners and the after fun with"Practice" other important word was inhuman.Trying to stay at 175 was nuts.
